Promotion idea inspired by J himself!

If you keep up with his blog, you know that he recently posted a pic from SA where he wrote SPEAK LOUD on the beach. So cool! Well I go to the beach at LEAST twice a year & we're going in March, so I thought "I'm totally doing that" But then I thought of the COOLEST idea to take it a step further...

When I write that on the beach, I'm going to leave 2 SLTB CDs lying there with a note that tells them one is for them to keep and one is for them to give away. I'll encourage them to buy another copy if they wish and do the same in some way (doesn't have to be a beach, you can leave it on a park bench, bus stop, someone's car, etc....)

I'll be sure and get pics of it & post them here :)

that pic IS amazing, though, kelly - i cried when i saw it! VERY powerful - i wonder how long it lasted before the waves took it away (and sooooo glad they took a picture of it! that would have been an AWESOME cd cover!!!)

The first thing that popped when my head when you said verse...was a verse that Laura and I were talking about back in Sept. Its a verse that goes right along with SLTB.

Acts 18:9-10
One night in a vision the Lord said to Paul, "Do not be afraid. Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you. No one will attack and harm you, for I have many people in this city."


A verse that I think would be perfect (which is one of my fav.) is the well known Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

This is so exciting cause the first thing that popped into my head was can you imagine what kind of out reach this is empowering through Christ???!!!!! I'm so excited...I'm a member of BMG music club and I just checked the site to see if they have SLTB. They don't but it says that it's coming soon! :) I have 24 free CD vouchers racked up but unfortunately, they've decided to do away with that part of the club and you have to redeem your free CDs by April 30th. So I'm hoping the CD is added by then so I can just use all my free credits to get copies of SLTB for this project :)

Laura it is SO weird that you commented on this today! I've been waiting for them to add SLTB to my music club as I mentioned before. Just the other day, a new CD was added, but sometimes when they add new CDs they make them "Premium Titles" and don't allow you to use your free points to get them. I was soooo worried they would do that with J's CD. I came here and read your reply just now & thought "I hope they add it soon!" Then I checked my email and sure enough, it was added today!

THEN....I went to the site to see if it's labelled a premium item and it's NOT! Yay!!! Getting ready to order 20 copies of it :) Woohoo!!! So excited to get this project started!

That is SO COOL, Kelly! What a witnessing tool. I have given away 6 copies now. At least. Watching the stores for sales and will get more to have as door prizes in the Coffee Cabin as well as handing them out as the Lord leads.

The bracelets would be an awesome promotion tool. I wonder if we could buy a box...Adam? Matt? We could all split the cost and go from there.....

One CD down, 19 to go ;) (Took a pic of it...will post it later)

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. I was at the beach a total of about 15 minutes & it was VERY spur of the moment so I didn't have a chance to grab the CD from my bag. I got down to the beach & they were all at the part where it's all loose sand, so I pretty much had to commit to one spot & stay there. No beach tires on this chair :p I had my niece find me the biggest stick she could find & I tried to write Speak Loud as big as I could, but I would get the word Speak then realized I had no room to write Loud...so I tried to move but it didn't go well. So I finally scratched that idea.

However, yesterday we went to the pier & I left the CD & note on the bench at the end of the pier :) Hope it didn't just blow off into the ocean!

That would be VERY cool! :) Mom & I are going to Boerne tomorrow to distribute her magazine, so I'm gonna leave one there :) Haven't left any in a while. Still need to make those cards! I'll leave one randomly at Celebrate Freedom as well. Will definitely help that whoever picks it up will be hearing him live! :)
