Hey Everyone. The director of the kitchen at the YMCA that I worked fwd. an email that she got from a friend. The reason she passed it on to me is the same reason I am passing it onto you. The email is a great reminder to LISTEN and WATCH for what it is He has planned for us.
E-Mail:
Hi All:
What does prayer mean to you? Communion with God, confession, supplication, intercession, thanksgiving, these are a few words in the dictionary used to describe it. I have a few of my own comfort, strength, acceptance, deliverance, protection, healing, receiving, forgiveness, peace. Jesus said ask anything in my name and if you believe it will be given to you. I know there are time in our lives we ask for things and Gods answer is no or I have a plan of my own. We do not always understand His reasoning and I have come to the conclusion I never will, but I know that ALL things will work to bring His will into light if we LISTEN and WATCH for what it is He has planned for us. I have been telling the kids we don't know why we have to travel this path He has laid before us but if we keep our eye's and ear's open we will see what it is He want us to learn from the journey. Today I want to share what all your prayers have accomplished. Our day started early we were all human and tried to keep the brave face on but underneath we were afraid what will His answer be to all the prayers we have sent up over the last couple of weeks?
Marty was an inspiration being strong for all around her not wanting to allow fear to enter in to her day. The Dr came in and said we are at the mercy of the surgical suites availability and they are running behind so we wait but this is what is going to happen. We will be doing surgery which will take 4 to 5 hours than after recovery you will be taken to a room and you will be our guest for 3 or 4 days and if all goes well you will be able to go home. You will keep your appointment with the radiologist and we will be keeping an eye on your progress.
We prayed we put it all in Gods hands and we did as my brother Bill Baxter has said, ask for specifics so we asked God to be the hands of the surgeon to be her eyes also that no microscopic piece of that cancer would be left behind that it would not be close to the facial nerve that she would come out and would not be sick as she was for the biopsy surgery and she would have His peace knowing He was in control.
Well after 3 hours they came out and said the Dr is closing and will be out in about 10 minutes to talk to you. She came out and said I feel it went very well the tumor was contained to the gland we took the lymph's in the area but I feel they are just swollen but not cancerous, we will know for sure with the pathologist report. She done very well and if she continues this way after breakfast tomorrow we will let her go home. And she went on to tell us that they had tested the facial nerve and it responded to the EMG.
When we went back to her room to see her you could her her singing Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Jesus Loves Me, Hallelujah. She was alert felt great not sick at all and praising the LORD.
The devil tried as he always dose to still our glory and joy but we rebuked him in the NAME OF JESUS and sent him on his way.
Marty is diabetic and it is sever so we do need all of you to keep that in your prayers. But when I got home I called and talked to Rod and she was eating a turkey sandwich and was doing fine.
I want to thank all of you for your prayers on behalf of my family. Marty is and always will be a very important part of it. Her, Rod and all of us are keeping eyes and ears open the journey is not over by far but see what happen when you have a FAMILY of believers behind you lifting you up to the KING pleading your case asking for HIS MERCY.
1 Thessalonians 5: 17-18 says Pray continually giving thanks in all circumstances.
Thank You all and may each of you feel HIS Blessing upon you.
In Christ
