View Full Version : Full Review of East Lansing/Meet & Greet (with pictures+video)

The East Lansing show was amazing... no words to describe.

We arrived around 12:30 with only about 6 people in line ahead of us. We waited, played a few games, etc....

Most people don't know, but Jeremy has inspired me a lot and is kind of a personal hero for me... so meeting him was a little nervewracking haha. Ask Cara, she was there and thought I was gonna pass out because my legs were shaking so much!!! lol.

The funny part about the meet and greet is.. they couldn't find Jeremy for a while! Adie was there with the kids and so were some of Jeremy's other family members and he didn't have his phone on him. Everyone was calling him and he was like no where to be found. Eventually they found him though haha.

Jeremy was very welcoming.. possibly the nicest guy I've ever met in my entire life. Very firm handshake too (haha). He was great and I guess he knew I was nervous because he was just trying to make conversation and I was silent haha. I asked him to do the Chewbacca rawr, and he did. It was great. He wasn't as tall as I expected him to be, which made me very happy haha. I had two pictures taken with him. The first was the serious picture. The second one, I asked him if we could do a funny picture, and he's like "sure man" and I'm like "okay, I don't know what to do. I'm really bad at this" haha. He told me to punch him haha. I did, it was great lol

The actual concert was great. I'm a HUGE Hawk Nelson fan..... however for me, the concert really started when Jeremy came out. He made it more of the worship experience I wanted it to be. When he came out, it was no longer a concert because I don't think he wanted that. He instead wanted people worshipping with him and it was great. He was a great speaker too and I loved that. Mercyme's lead singer is also a great speaker. Last night, most people left with a spiritual high.

I am so glad you got to come it was great to meet you .. and see Jeremy is very approachable. Those after concert pics are horrible! lol

It sounds like you were really blessed! Praises to Jesus!!! Thank you so much for sharing all this. The videos are awesome and so are your pictures. Don't feel bad, the first time I met Jeremy, when I walked away my knees almost gave out and I had to hold onto a table. I was so nervous!? (But why....he's just a human and very kind and approachable...it's so funny..!) Anyway, I'm really glad you got to meet Jeremy and Cara. CAMPers Unite!! lol:D

thank you for sharing! m&g's ROCK!!!! :D AND, meeting other CAMPers ROCKS, too!!!! hehe i haven't watched the video yet - my husband is watching star wars (*groan*) & would turn it up even LOUDER than it already is if i had sound on too! (although, i think i may break out the headphones after we get the boys to bed & watch it that way!!!!)

anyway....i'm soooooo glad that it was such a great experience for you, too. :D i can't wait to read your testimony!

And I am done uploading all of my videos from the concert and posted the links in the first post.

If you only want to watch one, I recommend the first because it has clips of the best parts from all of the videos. :)


And I posted my testimony.. wasn't sure where to post it, so I posted it in "Prayers & Praise"

Wow looks like you had a blast! I'm with you on the M&G! My first M&G I was so nervous...partly because we were told to wait at an elevator for someone to come get us and escort us down and it took that person ten minutes to get to us! I kept saying "I'm gonna miss it! I'm gonna miss it!" But they waited for me :)

You know what's interesting, I've been seeing a lot of "funny" M&G pics with J lately, and I was thinking back to my last M&G where I got a pic w/ J and Matt...it would've been HILARIOUS if we'd done the whole See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil thing! Hehehehe

I'll have to remember that for next time! ;)

oh my gosh that's awesome!!! I SOOOOO should've done that with them because Matt was right there!!! haha. Matt was awesome. I looked for him after the show because I wanted a pic with him too but I couldn't find him :(... but at least I got the one with J haha

but yeah, that'd be an awesome pic!! I might steal the idea if I am blessed enough to go to a concert and meet J again lol :)

Went to my first one in Feb 08, second June 08, third Jan 09 & I'm already looking at going to my fourth this June! ;)

haha... well, i waited about the same about of time as you. I first got into J's music after I became a Christian when I was 15... and I'm gonna be 21 this summer... so yeah, 5 years.

And now I wanna go to another one. I actually looked up how far Springfield is from me to see if I could make it tomorrow, but can't lol

i'll be seeing him again at spirit west coast, but that's not til the END of july!!! (sarah, i TOTALLY lost count! i bet we're in the 90's now, though!!! :D )

i'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO wishing they'd post the sltb tour dates!!!!!! and sooooo hoping that there's a so-cal something between now & swc! (i know, it's not asking much, right?? *blush* hehe)

Tell me about it girl! I can't wait any longer! Although I'm guessing they won't announce it till the R&WRS has completely worn off of them :p But if there IS a date on that tour I can make it to, that will make three concerts for me THIS YEAR ALONE! :) *Thinks to self: please have a Tx date! When I first saw Jeremy.... I started seeing him every other month like clockwork...once 2 days in a row :D ..... but something terrible happened and It had been over a year since my last 2 shows :eek: but looks like things will be picking back up again.... so excited!;)

That's weird how that goes... 3 shows in a week... and then you have to wait 9 months! LOL :p

That is so awesome! I'm so happy you had such a great time! These M&G's are a such a huge blessing to everyone, I know it was for me! Great pics, btw! :)

I know!! I am sooo glad I finally got my chance! We've talked about this for like... 5 or 6 years now haha

I didn't get a high five... was too nervous to ask haha... but many handshakes, a couple pats on the back, and like a five-minute conversation haha. It was great .

And I'm not like.. obsessed with Hawk Nelson.. just love some of their music... more a fan of their ballads like "Everything You Ever Wanted" and "Arms Around Me" than their other stuff... hahaha ;)
