I originally put this up in CAMP Chatter last week.

My friend Dottie was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. The good news, the lump originally found on the right side is no longer there. But she does have a few lumps on the left side. She has had some tests this week and will have more next Monday as they prepare fro treatment.

She is coming with me to Lifest on Sunday (it's our 300+ mile one-way day trip to see J and some CAMPers).

I'm praying Dottie, her Dr's, and her family/friends. I hope you both had an uplifting time at the concert!

update on Dottie, she had a pet scan & the cancer might be on her liver & in her bones. She has an ultrasound tomorrow. Continued prayers please,

I'm praying for Dottie!!! Was she in good spirits following the concert? I pray it lifted her up and increased her faith.

It was awesome to meet her on Sunday. (As well as you, your son and your sister)

Dottie's more frustrated than anything. She was not able to go to her Messianic Jewish Synagogue on Saturday or to my church on Sunday. She had another Dr.'s appointment today but had not heard anything yet.

She did enjoy Lifest and thought it was totally worth it.

Update on Dottie: The cancer has Not spread to her Liver...YAY!!!! She is trying to get a Bone test scheduled for possibly on Wednesday. Will try to keep you all posted.

Dottie had tests done last week. They had initial missed the cancer that is in the liver. soooooo she has it in her liver and bones as well as in the breast. She starts chemo on Friday 8/14. She skipped church today because she was not keeping her anti-nausea pill down and didn't sound very good on the phone this morning.

i am definitely praying, jennifer. earlier this year, we lost a very dear friend of ours to lymphoma, so i can really identify with this. :( please keep us posted...

Thanks for the prayers. Dottie knows that there are CAMPers all over praying for her.

I keep remembering the hug I gave Dottie at Lifest, and she felt so ...not fragile, but like it hurt her just to be touched. It was so sad. I'm praying that the Lord gives her strength, removes the pain she is in and heals the cancer. Most of all, I pray she continues to draw near to Jesus and depends on Him to get her through this.

Mailing a card out to her today.
