I have a son who is now 18 who has talked marriage before but says he's not ready or hasn't found the "right" girl yet. What age do you think is appropriate for wedded bliss? I've been married almost 23 years and we started at 18....Does age matter or just maturity? When did you get married or when do you plan on it? OR does it just take the right lady?

I believe it's maturity, rather than age. I'm 25 and single -- no girlfriend, no prospects, not *quite* ready to get hitched. Then I've got a friend who's 21 and been married for a year. He and his wife (22) were ready at a young age; I'm not.

I am single myself....but i think that it will be one of those things that you just know when it is the right time....I am sure God will make very clear to you and your son when its a good time for him to get married.

I'm going to steal his words, because I can't add much to it. :)
