I am feeling burnt out! College is taking it's toll on me! Since I am spending so much time on homework, papers, project, studying, and all the other fun stuff that comes with it. I have to admit my relationship with Christ has suffered!

Thanks! Once I think there will be a break and I can get into a routine it changes and I have to be doing something ALL THE TIME and there is no time for me time!! It is to stressful! In the glim hope for me time I have found myself not going to church or setting aside time for Christ.

make church part of your ME time. Even with my busyness w/ grad school, I always make sure church is a priority. During my undergrad days when I was busier, I always made church a priority and I gave myself a day off from homework.

I know the feeling! I have to admit, in college, I didn't have a very strong relationship w/ Him. I believed He existed, but that was about as far as it went. I did pray often, but never knew how to listen for him so I constantly felt I was having a one-way conversation. I was involved in campus ministry and we had praise & worship every Tuesday night which I attended as often as possible, but the rest of the week, I wasn't focusing on Him.
Then student teaching hit and I was suffocating! I had a TOUGH teacher I was working with & I was SO stressed out, I'd cry myself to sleep nightly, then get 3 hours of sleep at MOST and do it all over again the next day. I did this for 5 weeks (which felt like an ETERNITY!). My last week of teaching I had two panic attacks! All this time, I would be asking "Why? Why am I being put through this? Why is this so hard?" But I don't know that I ever ONCE took the time to stop & give everything to Him and let Him take care of it for me. When I learned how to do that, it made all the difference in the world! I still forget from time to time, but when I remember to give everything to Him, it's amazing what He can do :)
Just take it slowly. Read a chapter from the Bible. Pray right before you go to sleep and right when you wake up. Subscribe to an online daily devotional or verse of the day. I do KLove and Air1's verse of the day & they're sent to my email daily. First thing in the morning I check my email, so I always start my day w/ those verses. Before you know it, you'll be spending more and more time with Him and finding that you're able to focus more on everything you have to get done! :)
Hang in there! As someone who had EVERY LAST THREAD pulled out of her in college, I can assure you that you're going to be just fine! :)
