Just wondering...
Are camera's most especially DSLR's allowed in all of J's concert? What about amateur film makers who's hobby are taking videos using professional video cameras?

Usually it's up to the venue, not the artist. The only thing you can do is call the venue where the concert is and ask. But usually they don't allow anything with detachable lenses...simple point and shoot cameras only....but with the big outdoor festivals it may be different. You just have to call.
I know for some concerts, the organizers have the right to allow such cameras...
Right?!

I believe so, but like I said, you'll just have to call the venue and ask.
Kelly,
Why are DSLR's not allowed? Can you give me a perfect reason?
I'm such a sad person right now. I feel really sour.

There are some venues that as a general rule disallow SLR cameras because they have interchangeable lenses. Argh! What a pain (it's what I use)! There are also venues that outright forbid cameras, period. Management is allowed to override a venue in most cases, and as far as I know, J still allows photos.
One thing I do know is NO VIDEO. J and his wife have politely asked that you do not video tape the shows.

I just heard back from the festival coordinator for the festival I'm going to next week and he said due to artists' management request, NO video is allowed! Not even on digital cameras. Still pictures ONLY. I mean in a way, that's weird because how will they know you're taking video with a camera, but of course, I'm going to respect the no video thing. Darn! :p Or to use the words one of my kiddos repeated over and over last night for some reason....
Dag narbit! Hehehe
Okay... hehehe...
They won't allow DSLR's because of the interchangeable lens? How is that? DSLR's doesn't even have a video feature.

I've used a DSLR at his concert before. Had no problems.

You rarely run into this, but sometimes there are "professional" photographers at venues (usually festivals) and they don't want "competition." I'd say for 99% of the shows you'll be OK.
Thanks for the reply guys.
But I am not a professional photographer. I just own a DSLR becuase I love to change settings and I love to take pictures.
I hope Mr. Jeremy Camp would understand that there's no point in banning us users with our cameras. A DSLR with 18-55mm kit lens only has 3x zoom power. While a 18-200 only has around 10x zoom as opposed to the other digital cameras that has 5x-18x zoom.
