Jennifer and I watched "Three Days Of The Condor" on cable last night. It's a 1975 movie which pretty much bookmarks the end of Cold War movies. I'm not a big Robert Redford fan, but he was perfect in this movie. Only a smidge of nudity (and nothing horribly graphic), and I think the f-word is used a grand total of three times. Highly recommended for the more mature crowd (late teens).

I've seen a number of films that I will say are definitely guy films:
Rudy
Scent of a Woman
Around the Bend
To End All Wars
The Bourne Trilogy
Some of them have language issues, but all of them are must-watch films for guys. They all help teach you what it is to be a man. Well, except for Bourne -- that just kicks butt.

Rudy is good. It's even better because it is a true story.

Star Wars is such a cool series. I so much like the original trilogy vs the second (prequel) trilogy, because the good guys are the good guys, and the bad guys are the bad guys.
I think the Indiana Jones series belongs in here as well, as well as possibly the "Back to The Future" series.

heck yes! Indiana jones is the business and back to the future always has me grinning ear to ear.
Empire strikes back is my fave movie though, utterly brilliant in every way!

black snake moan. Incredible movie about healing (mental and physical) and the difference little things can make, plus a wicked blues soundtrack

Does anyone remember "Crossroads?" Ralph Macchio (aka The Karate Kid) sells his soul to get a lost blues tune. Features Steve Vai.

Jennifer and I have been watching a movie about Ultra/Bletchley Park with Kate Blanchette. There's a flesh scene (or two, possibly) and a number of instances of pretty bad language delivered as only the Brits can do, but other than that a most excellent war movie. Mostly true- I haven't read about Ultra in some time, so I can't say how much is fact vs fiction.

I brought Falling Down to my college group once. The group leader introduced it as "a film about a man who had a bad day."

While Equilibrium was good, Ultraviolet was better. It better showed the director's fighting style. And yes, it is his fighting style; he made it up in his backyard.
But Equilibrium was awesome. The fight scenes were insane.

FX has gotten hold of Hellboy. I'm still not sure what to make of this movie, but after a couple of viewings, I'd have to say that it is at the very least interesting.

I only tried three, but I got them right. Although, I am a bit confused as to the actual title of one: is it A Clockwork Orange, or Clockwork Orange?
Labby

"A" Clockwork Orange.
I love that movie, although it's insanely twisted and sick. It's also what Heath Ledger based his 'Joker' off of.
