Ok well the website has yet to announce the dates, but itickets has already announced TWO Tx dates!!!!! :D We can either drive up to Austin for just the concert and stay at my friend's place for the night, or go to corpus and make a beach roadtrip outta the whole thing....

I for one am all about the beach trip, even though it would obviously be more expensive. YAY!!!! So excited!!!!!

haha...um....take out Children 18:3 and put in capital lights(I guess Children 18:3 is out now...they weren't on the artist page). they are coming an hour north of me(dependign where they are). the speaker they have with them is awesome too. I have met him so many times(he is the President of the company that puts on a few of the concerts I go to every year...Life Promotions).

I might try to make the Chattanooga date. We'll see. If Children 18:3 was on the bill I would be going without a doubt. They are amazing! It'd be nice to talk to LeeMarie (bassist/singer) again.

I do really like Capital Lights, Fireflight, and Run Kid Run. I haven't really paid much attention to TFK's, Pillar's, or Kutless' new music. I like their old stuff though.

I'm definitely NOT interested in seeing KJ-52 again. I've seen the dude twice and both times it wasn't by choice. One time it was at a conference and another time his set time got switched with Building 429's at a festival.

So it turns out, I didn't have to do much convincing to get my friends to go 4 hours to see the concert instead of 1 hour. They're all for an entire beach weekend trip! Woohoo!!!!

Kelly
08-01-2008, 06:43 PM
I was hanging out with some friends yesterday including the one who I've been talking with about this concert, and we had this great convo....I had to share:

Ben: So we should probably think about getting tickets soon. And we need to find more people to go with us. It'd be awesome to get a whole group together. And they're GA right?
Me: Yeah so we don't have to get them all at the same time. I wonder how the handicap seating works though.
Ben: Hmmmm...yeah I assume you'll want to be right up front for Jeremy Camp huh?
Me: Oh he won't be there
Ben: What??? And you still wanna go? :p

Hehehehehehe

the only date that is on sale...that I really know of is Oct. 18th in Menasha/Green Bay, WI. can't wait.

Kelly
08-01-2008, 11:17 PM
I don't understand how they're doing the tickets because the one in Corpus was on sale on itickets for weeks but not listed as on sale on the main festival website....then a few days ago it said "tickets for this event will go on sale soon" and now it says "Tickets for this event are no longer available via phone or web. Tickets will be available at the event"

ktyme06
08-04-2008, 10:26 AM
wow...um....weirdness. I know the October 18th one is cause it is for another festival thing that Bob Lenz's company here, it is like 20 minutes away, puts on(they do 2 festivals a year, Lifest and Power Of One, this one is Power Of One).

Kelly
09-01-2008, 11:31 AM
Yesterday my friend asked how I'd feel about going to the Austin show and calling off the whole beach weekend trip....unfortunately, I have to work the night of the Austin show, so now the beach trip is our only option....oh darn! :p;):D

Kelly

opps double post.

My show was yesterday. I have to say it was one of the best days ever. I got to see and meet my (now) 2nd favorite band for the first time ever, Capital Lights. and if anyone is going to it...please go early and support Capital Lights...they are amazing guys.

Kelly
10-19-2008, 11:58 PM
I hope we make it for them. Just found out that the start time is an hour and a half earlier than originally posted! We check into our hotel at 4. The drive to the show is about a half hour, and the doors open at 5. I believe the pre-show starts twenty minutes after doors open, so that doesn't give us a huge window, but we may make it just in time!

ktyme06
10-20-2008, 10:41 AM
I would be so happy if you did go and see them...cause they are really great.
Hopefully you can make it in time.
they went on for like 25 minutes.

Kelly
10-20-2008, 11:49 AM
Do they go on first, or does Esterlyn?

ktyme06
10-20-2008, 01:30 PM
at my show it was them...but according to the schedule thing they gave it was supposed to be Esterlyn. I think they do go first cause of Jonny(guitarist) playing with RKR on at least one song.

I took my 4 oldest kids and 5 of their friends to the opening show in Cincy as part of their birthdays. It was AMAZING!!! Thousand Foot Krutch blew the roof off! I wish they would have been able to play more songs. I love the guys from Capital Lights and Esterlyn. The guys in the audience were lovin the ladies from Fireflight and an awesome new worship band called Worth Dying For. Run Kid Run, Pillar and Kutless were amazing, as usual, and KJ-52 was great taking it "old school". Bob Lenz is hysterical! We were able to take camera in and have awesome pics as we were standing in front of the stage! My oldest daughter and I even got pics with 3 of the Cincinnati Bengals players who were there. It was nice to see some Bengals out past midnight doing something decent and not out causing trouble and embarrassing Cincinnati.:D If you can get to one the remaining shows I suggest you go!!!

Kelly
10-22-2008, 11:07 AM
Awesome! You MUST share those pics! I'm SOOOOO excited!!!!! I've been wanting to see Kutless since I started listening to them. And I've been trying to get to a TFK show for like 5 years! Just recently started listening to Fireflight and I'm excited to see them as well! According to Ticketmaster, cameras are not allowed at our show, but I'm going to call the venue to verify cause that would be so not cool! :p

I was hoping to go to this mostly because of Capital Lights and Fireflight, but I don't think I could afford to buy the almost $23 tickets and then drive two hours to Chattanooga. And even if I could, I don't think my friend that I was planning on going with would be willing to pay that much.

Toddrick33
10-22-2008, 04:02 PM
I definitely have to be there on time... I keep hearing good things about Capital Lights!

I actually have a friend coming down to visit me, so at least I won't be going to the show alone and that makes it worth the $23!

I didn't catch the show in Kalamazoo, unfortunately.

There's also a guy on the tour by the name of George Moss. Has anyone caught any of him on the tour? He's a rapper, so some around here might not be a big fan, but I'm just curious. He's from my hometown, and is the prime-time DJ on one of the local Christian radio stations.

oh yeah...he is with KJ...haha. he is cool. that is cool. Skillet isn't on the tour...yeah...Capital Lights was my favorite one acutally.

Capital Lights is amazing! Their album is some power-pop goodness. lol I saw them at the Tooth & Nail showcase during GMA Week. They apparently came back to Nashville during the summer too, but I was in SC by that point. I'm hoping they'll come back to Nashville sometime.

I took this video of them at the showcase. It's not great quality, but people seem to love it. It has over 3,000 views on it. It jumped over 1,000 pretty much by the end of the week I posted it. haha

I really like it...I am pretty sure the girl like right in front of Bryson(like 2 or 3 in front of you it looked like) is one of my friends. haha. Now I am listening to my favorite "local"(i got yelled at by the bassist for calling them local) perform at the same show I saw this tour at...haha.
I remember that Capital Lights was in Memphis with Hawk Nelson...but I don't remember hearing about them in Nashville...and the only reason why they did memphis date was cause Run Kid Run was here that day.

He was so cool! We thought he was 17 or so and found out after the show he's 25 or 26!! He took the time to meet all my kids and their friends and even took pics with them. He has a cd but I haven't heard it yet. He was rapping with KJ and doing some of KJ's stuff.

OK, that show was really good. We got there at 6:30 and Capital Light was just finishing playing. I'm glad I got to see Esterlyn, though.

I loved the part of the show where they showed pictures and asked you to cheer if you wanted to see that band at Creation 2009. Jeremy Camp, Skillet, and the guy on the tractor got the most cheers.

And you know that video, "Creation Fest... The Tour!" with Pastor Harry? Yeah, we filmed that at Creation 2008. Kind of lame at the time, but cool to actually see.

Pillar, Kutless, and TFK were all awesome... except I have none of their new albums, so I didn't know many songs...

Worth the $23 though!

Oh, and Amanda, I saw lots of v-necks and vests! ;)

that sucks that you didn't make it for Capital Lights. From what I remember of the TFK set at my show they actually did quite a few off the other albums....only like 3 off of The Flame In All Of Us(What do we know, Falls Apart and i can't remember). yes...v-necks and vests are very popular on that tour(vests mainly worn by the Esterlyn guys).

don't like ever have a band sign in silver sharpee...it comes out in like 2 washes. My Capital Lights shirt was signed in a silver sharpee...you can kinda see 2 of them, not so much on 2 more and the other one is non exsistant now. I have shirts that I have washed a few times and they still have the siggies.

Hehe yeah silver sharpies rock, but I'd never use them on a tshirt! Another thing you may not have known...pencil eraser erases silver sharpie! I made a sign recently where I wrote in pencil then traced in silver sharpie. When I went back to erase the pencil lines that were showing, it erased the sharpie marks too!
