I thought it'd be cool to have a thread where we could all post what we do for a living....

I have several jobs.

1. Substitute teacher - but of course, I'm off for summer.

2. Kids Club (a faith-based afterschool program) - they're off for summer too, which is sad, but we have summer camps, vacation bible school, and other events planned for the summer :) Most of my kids said they wouldn't be coming, but hopefully they change their minds!

3. Storage manager - on Saturdays I manage a storage unit...it's quite boring most times, and extremely stressful other times because I can't seem to get our lease software to work! Ugh!

4. Childcare - the same church that runs Kids Club is starting a divorce counseling class for parents and their children this summer on Wednesday nights and they need someone to watch the younger kids (0-2years). I actually just found out today that no one who registered for the June class has a child in that age range, so I'm off the hook for this month, but hopefully they'll need me for the july class.

Aaaaaaaaah here is where i have to admit that im part of the corporate machine!

I work for the 5th largest (maybe fourth now) bank in the uk.
I do telephone banking for small/medium businesses and enterprises. Ordering chequebooks sending money to foreign countries, giving them balances etc etc.

Its tedious, monotononononous but it pays the bills!

I am a fourth grade teacher

There is so much that those few words encompass that I would be here all night telling you all the things I do and all the extra jobs I am expected to do during any given day.

It is an amazing job though and doing what I love everyday is awesome.

I make direct mail, which is the polite, industry term for junk mail. I'm officially a programmer, but am also a DBA (database administrator) and data analyst (number cruncher).

On Sundays, Jennifer and I are co-facilitators for our church's pre-K Sunday School.

I work for my self kinda. I do Private Duty Nursing. Though an agency. It's okay. It's really Hard when you're dealing with family members all the time. We have our slow times. Winter and Spring are usually the busy times. Summer are the slowest. I've some really slow times. Were we didn't have anywork for people and that can be stressful. Especially for myself. But, God really does Provide. There were times when I didn't have work. and I didn't know if I would be able to pay bills. Now, I am finally able to catch up on them.

Paid job: Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent at the local Super 8 Motel. I have stories that you really don't want to hear.

Unpaid job: I'm a pastoral intern and youth leader at my church. I organize the Youth worship sets, do set-up/tear down on Wednesdays, run sound, run the projections, play bass, play guitar, lead worship, and sometimes preach (I'm actually getting my first AM Sunday service on the 22nd of this month).

And then there's being a consultant on the gear we need, which is kinda cool.
