I like their music. I also like their Ephesians 429 name. They signed my shirt at a Mt. Vernon Nazarine University Sonfest concert. Name your favorite songs or albums or just tell a story of when you first saw Building 429 play.

I've seen them twice, and both times were free shows! Pretty sweet. Anyway, the first time I saw them was...maybe 2-3 years ago. I liked their CD (only the 1st one had been released), but wasn't a huge fan or anything. Seeing them live totally made the difference! I was really surprised at how much energy Jason had! And they make it abundantly clear that what they do is about the ministry, not just the music.
Here are some of my pictures from that first show. :)

I agree, they really care about spreading Gods word and being a good example to all their fans that listen to them. Sweet pictures!

I have their Rise CD. It's awesome! My favorite B429 songs are Searching for a Saviour, Glory Defined, You Carried Me, I Believe/Jesus is the Answer medley, Never Look Away....and so many more :p

Thinking about my first B429 show reminds me of a cool story Jason told about "No One Else Knows." It's been so long now that I can't remember it exactly, but he told the story behind why it was written. I think one of his unmarried female family members (a sister, maybe?) had gotten pregnant, and about how the family supported her through that time. I'm hesitant to describe it in any more detail, just because I can't remember it all that well now, but it was really emotional to hear him talk about it.
He also talked about how, with that song, the guys were hesitant to do a "ballad" type of song because they all thought "but we're a rock band!" He really felt led to write it, so they all gave in, but said "okay, but we won't play it live." And again, God had a different idea. :) It's such a powerful song and I think everyone can connect to it in some way.

I saw Bldg. 429 one year ago tomorrow, which is also the anniversary of the first time I met Jeremy.
I copied this report off the old boards:
I literally walked in the door 10 minutes ago. I am so overwhelmed with Jeremy's ministry...I'm still close to tears and his concert was over 24 hours ago. (Thursday evening)
The show was almost cancelled due to weather, however there was much prayer reaching the ears of Jesus and the weather cleared up.... we had our concert. I just could not accept the words, "You might as well go, we're taking down". I told the security guard, "I prayed and this will clear up. It has to, it will". Certainly others were praying, too. There was so much talk around the grounds about Jeremy singing that evening. Everyone was really looking forward to it. I stood there with a black trash bag trash bag over my head, I just couldn't leave. Over the next 30 minutes or so the storm actually broke into two parts and went to each side of the fair grounds. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! It was like the Lord was showing us how much He wanted to use these men of God to minister to all the people on the grounds. And you should have seen the bright, beautiful double rainbow that came out when Bldg. 429 was singing (before Jeremy). And then, just before Jeremy came out, the announcer/mc (?) said that there was a report that another bad storm was heading our way, but unexpectedly dissipated! Maybe to the weather guys it was a surprise, but not for all of us who were praying! Praise God!!!
etc.
I was really in awe of Bldg. 429. Jason has so much energy! And his voice was like silk. I liked them before I saw them, but after seeing them live, I am hooked. They are really into ministry, and not just singing, which is what makes them extra special in my eyes. They have a heart for people like Jeremy does.
I have a picture of them somewhere. I'll see if I can find it...

A week or so after Christ came into my heart, my wife game me a copy of Space in Between Us. The first time I heard it, I got to the forth song (OTTM) and had to pull over... I was crying so hard.
Blew me away
I live in Winston Salem, where Paul Bowden is from and ended up getting to know and become good friends with the band.
I've tagged along a few times and have caught them about 20 times.
During the unplugged show in Greensboro back in July 2005, Jason said something during the show that really spoke to me.
I decided to leave my job and work for my church.
Please note, I'm not a teenager with no responsibilities, I'm forty something and have a family with three kids. I don't know how, but GOD has provided for my family and it's the best desision I ever made.
Since Paul and Scotty left, I haven't seen them as much, but I talk to Jesse from time to time. They have a great ministry and it changed my life.

That's awesome! Very, very cool! I love their song, "Carried Me". There is just something about that song that makes me stop whatever I'm doing when it comes on and just listen to it. It moves me.
(The first time I heard the song "Walking Her Home" by Mark Schultz I was in the car and had to pull over, too. I was sobbing so hard!)

I have had the oppertunity to Meet Jason's entire family over the years.
Jason had a rough childhood, but I believe he has wrote some great songs due to his background.
