We've been downstairs in our basement since early this afternoon. Tornado watches and warnings all day, and continue....now the watch is on until 3 a.m. There have been sightings and touchdowns all around our community, and even just to the east of us. We're sleeping downstairs in the rec room. Please pray for the safety of everyone in SW WI and any place else there are tornadoes. Just heard more thunder. Need to get off the computer.
Thank You.

Here is a quick update. We're having severe storms and flooding even now. There were tornadoes all around us yesterday. Almost every town in our area had reports of them. Our town had one touch down in a cornfield just a few miles from our area.
It's been raining most of the day and there is flooding everywhere. Just a block away from us there is water 4 or 5 feet deep. Fields are under water and there is literally white water in the streets. I've never seen anything like it.
Please pray that there are no injuries or deaths as a result of this weather. Rain is expected for several more days.
I have to get off the computer because it's lightening like crazy. Thank you for praying. God bless~
P.S. Church was awesome this morning and tonight! Praise God!

I live in south central minnesota and we had tornado warnings and a flash flood warning here a few nights ago as well...
personally i love storms and i've always wanted to see a tornado, but yet i know they are dangerous so it's scary... hm...
it's nice here now though so hopefully the good weather is moving towards you! i will pray for the safety of you and your family and for good weather! : )

Thank you all for praying. The weather seems to have settled down now. I kept thinking about the kids, what would we do if it flooded...I dealt with some fear last night. I wasn't afraid for me, but I was concerned for our kids and grandkids. It was kind of neat because I kept thinking about what our pastor preached last week about fear, and finally I just claimed joy. I fell asleep right after that and slept better than I have for a long time.
Brooklyn, are you going to Wilmar, MN for the festival in July? I have considered going, but with gas so high, I won't be able to. Plus I don't have the vacation days. Bummer. So close, but yet so far...

Please pray for the families of the 4 boys scouts who were killed in a tornado yesterday in Iowa.
Severe weather is here again. We're heading downstairs with the kids.

The chapters I read in my book last night talked about that very thing....Rick referenced the story in the Bible where Jesus and his disciples are on a fishing boat out at sea and it starts to storm. (Luke 8:22-25) Even though the disciples were experienced fishermen, they doubted that they would survive the storm, then they realized that Jesus was sound asleep. If we could all just learn to trust God like that! Wow!
Praying for God's protection on you and your family and everyone in the affected areas! Thanks for keeping us updated!!!

I've been in the basement for the last hour and a half. Tornado sirens went off. But of course now its settled down. Its supposed to be like this until 9pm CST. It takes alot to get back up stairs for me since I am in a wheelchair and have to get out and slide down just to have to go back down. So I am hunkered down just playing on my laptop. lol

^^^I thought of you when I heard the warning for your town. I prayed for you.
We were in the basement for 13 1/2 hours. We had tornado warnings/watches, flash flood warnings and severe weather warnings. There were tornado touchdowns all over the place again. Weird weather!
We slept down there, but I couldn't fall asleep. I think I was overtired because I had a major meltdown last night. (crying spell). Just the stress of the daycare, then the weather kicked in and I started thinking about end times and got all weepy over different people in my family who aren't living for God. So I cried for 2 hours. Very rare for me to get like that, but everything all together just done did me in. What a mess. Poor Dan didn't know what to do with me. LOL. So.
I couldn't get on my computer with all the lightening and my battery holds about one minute. I'm not kidding. It's worthless. I missed my computer!
You guys should watch some of the videos from this past week in WI. http://www.channel3000.com/index.html Lots of prayer needed up here. In Iowa, too.

Hey Laura!
Last night (or should I say early this morning :D) I was about to go to bed, and was filipping through channels and saw all the storms in your area. I thought about you. I'll continue to pray for you guys up there. And as for stress and with others not living for God, keep on lifting up those prayers to Him....He hears them, and will act in Hs time. =)
Love in Christ,
Miranda

Ai yi yi... thanks for the reminder to pray. Michigan has had some severe weather, but luckily nothing major in my area except power outages and downed trees.... even though downed trees did claim at least one life. :(
It's another way for God to show us that He's large and in charge and will take care of us!!
