Do you have pictures from any of his concerts? If so post them here.

Just so you know there is a maximum of 4 pictures per post.

I have pictures!
The first one is my favorite. They're both from Rock the Boat-June 11, 2007 (backstage or on stage)
and Fishfest April 27 2008 at the signing booth

And you call yourself "Die Hard".

Nah, I kid. You won that irrevocably when you bought the tickets for the Live: Unplugged recording. And J wasn't surprised to see you, was he?

The very first time I met Jeremy, I stood outside at the front of the stage from 8:30 in the morning until he sang, after 7:00 p.m. He was scheduled to sing at 7, but we had rain and they were cancelling the show. I stood there crying and praying, refusing to leave. I knew the Lord was going to bless us through J's music and I would not give in. The sky had been dark, and solid clouds. There are hundreds who witness this...the clouds slowly parted in two, and the storm went to either side of us, giving us a clear sky overhead. The speakers were put back up and the show resumed! Praise God!!! Here are a few of the pictures from that day, then I'll show you the hilarious meet and greet. That has a story all to itself! :D

Here is Jared, Jeremy's bother, Leif, and Jacob during sound check. I'm sure they wondered what that grandma was doing standing in the sun all day in front of the stage was doing. Little did they know they were seeing a die hard, boardie, Jfan! lol

Watching the guys sound check. Jeremy never came out for it. I was the only one up there except for my friend who took that picture. I had one of the security guards take a gift up that I'd brought for Adie. It was her birthday that day. He gave it to Jared to give to Jeremy.

Bebo Norman...notice the skies. It was getting darker and darker. I barely heard what he said because I was praying that the rain would hold off.

Ok, this is the meet and greet story. It's so funny....wish you were there. As I reached my turn in line, my legs and hands were shaking because I was so nervous. But when I got up to J, he rubbed his temples and said, "I have a headache." If I would have been in my right mind, instead of scared to death, I would have offered to pray for him. However I just stood there like a lump. He picked up his water bottle and proceeded to take a HUUUGGGEEE drink. He kept drinking and drinking and drinking. It just hit me, and blurted out of my mouth. I bent down and said to him: "Does Adie know you drink like that?!" Here is the results:

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb189/Raptureready49/JeremyLaughingWithWaterInHisMout-1.jpg
He started laughing and couldn't swallow his water. He was pounding on the table and his shoulders were going up and down, laughing with his mouth shut. I guess it tickled his funny bone. He finally lost it and spit on the table...just a little. He swallowed most of it. I was just standing there chuckling, but wondering if he was going to choke and it would be all my fault!

So after that he was all funny and excited. He looked up and said, "That was good!" and gave me a high five. Then he goes, "Hey, you said Adie's name right. Most people say Addy." I told him, "I'm a boardie!" Another high 5! Then he said, "Hey! Are you the one who gave the home made cards to Jared to give to me, for Adie's birthday?" I said, "Yes, I was." He gave me another high 5. Ok you guys. I'm a shy person, but some type of courage overtook me and I said, "Don't you think I should get a hug for that?" I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT! But he looked at me and said, "Sure!". I'm sure he could see that I was an older woman, (I'm a grandma of 4), and knew it would be ok. I wasn't out to get him or anything sick like that. So he gave me a hug and said, "God Bless You!" Then he said "Thanks again, really, that was really nice of you" and shook my hand. Somewhere in there I got another high 5 but I can't remember why. It was so, so, so awesome!

And the next concert I went to, he remembered me and the water spitting! LOL.

Here he is signing my BeMe insert:

Just so its not as long of a scroll take out the pictures when you are quoting somebody. we don't need to see the pictures 2 times on the same page. It might be good just to not quote people for this one unless they actually write something out ya know?

Here are some pictures of our Normal, IL CAMPout! There were 6 of us boardies there. What an awesome time. Steve (Labby) and Leigh both travelled from opposite coasts and stayed with us for several days. It was a highlight of last year!

Here are a few pics from that visit and concert:

The next morning (after not getting to bed until about 3:30 a.m.) we got up and went to Devil's lake state park. It's utterly beautiful!

Leigh, Laura and Steve
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb189/Raptureready49/CAMPout004.jpg

We had a CAMPfire in our backyard and Steve had to use Ben's (our 7 year old's) little guitar to lead worship. He did great, though! We roasted marshmallows and made somores. Yum!

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb189/Raptureready49/CAMPout061.jpg

Steve left the following morning to visit some other mid-west buddies. Leigh stayed for a few more days and we had some special times that none of us will ever forget! What a blessing.

Besides all the souls that the Lord has brought to Himself through J's ministry, many dear friends have been given to us, too. Thank you, Jesus!

Ok, here are a couple pictures from our BBM concert in Chicago. Leigh came from SC again. Steve couldn't make this one. It was another CAMPout with Leigh, my grandson, Steven who is 12, Billy, our pastor's son who is 17, Connie, her husband Billy and their daughter Sami who is 17, Dan and I. It was a very nice group. We were going to be able to meet up with other Campers, but things fell through for most of them to be there. Maybe next time! It was still a great CAMPout!

Here is Jeremy shaking Steven's hand. Billy, our pastor's son is in the background.

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb189/Raptureready49/SamiConnieLeighLauraStevenDanandBil.jpg

Jeremy led us in a really great time of worship. Oh! When we were talking to him before he had to go on, I asked him if he would rather be up in the balcony where our seats were, or down on the floor, standing. He said the floor. Me, too. So I went down there and ended up right in front. Leigh was with me. Jeremy saw me during one of his songs and waved. It was awesome.

Yes. I got to meet his sound guy, guitar tech, and video guy. I helped set up the concert. I think I got there at 8:00 that morning and didn't leave until after 12:30 that night - technically that next morning.

My seat on stage during the whole show. since it was at a church they weren't as secure as a bigger venue. I just helped set stuff up and the guitar tech let me sit on stage off near the back. I moved gear on and off stage and helped in that way too.

I couldn't get all back shots so I moved around in the crowd. I had a horrible camera at this show. The camera i have no is much better.

There is the man..

I am pretty sure my battery died on my camera. Stupid double A batteries. Like i said it sucked. My newer camera has a chargeable battery which is awesome!

Oh man, this thread makes me nostalgic.

I love reading stories and seeing peoples' pictures.

There is still one shot that I do not have...
I want a picture from behind J with the audience in front of him.

I had one opportunity to be on stage ever, and I decided I wanted to enjoy the show instead. That was a smaller gig, so the crowd would be even cooler today, like at a big festival!!

And you call yourself "Die Hard".

Nah, I kid. You won that irrevocably when you bought the tickets for the Live: Unplugged recording. And J wasn't surprised to see you, was he?

LOL tell me about it. He used to live in the MI/IN/OH area whereas the west coast had a drought. I guess it's my turn to have the drought!

Plus with gas shooting up to $4, I will have to stick with just Michigan... or Columbus pretty soon!
No more IL/TN gigs... LOL

I always said J was bad for the environment! ;)

Oh, and the DVD recording was one of the times I actually did surprise him. When he asked what we were doing there, I told him, "I heard Seven Places was here..." hehe

Anwald. That's pretty funny. I'd have to say I've never traveled that far to see him. I've only seen him twice. I'm not as die hard as you I guess.

I'm not sure...I've never heard of anyone referred to as Jeremy's guitar tech guy. Anwald, do you know? Or Steve? Cara? Maybe your thinking of Jared? He's in the picture next to Jeremy, behind Jacob, who is on the keyboards.

Randy is the other guitar guy. He's the one who usually does the compassion talk, too. He used to be in Big Tent Revival years ago.

Video guy...who do you guys think that could be? I know Mike used to do them, for the podcasts. Now Adam does them. Adam wasn't doing the podcasts yet for the Unplugged Tour, as far as I know...but what do I know? LOL And Mike had to be on stage playing his bass during the concert. I've never heard of Jeremy having a specific video guy, but then, I have a lot to learn yet.

These pictures are great. Steve, did you ever get one of you and Jeremy from our CAMPout?

Ah yes. I wouldn't really call myself a "die hard" fan of J per se...

It's kind of hard to explain, but the music literally changed my life.
And being able to foster a relationship with J over the past 4 years has been incredible.
I'm not going to say that I hang out with J outside of concerts....
But it's cool when the guy behind the music is the real deal, know what I'm saying?

So I'm a big "die hard" fan of the Jesus in Jeremy!

I LOVE going to concerts, but I've never invested the amount of time and money I have in J in anyone else!! Nor do I think I can ever do it again! Life hits! :) But man what a ride it's been!!

I have a super long testimony on the other boards that I just may have to post one day.

LauraA

I hope you do post your testimony here. It would be a blessing to so many people.

And you hit it on the head, the Jesus in Jeremy is what makes J so awesome.

I've been to a number of concerts over the years. I'll have to dig up some of the photos, but I do have a couple on-hand:

This was from my second gig, waaaaay back during Spring Break 2003.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y193/labrousse/meandJ.jpg

And my first gig of 2007 -- in Chicago. A bunch of us went to C:'s hotel room after the gig and took a group picture. Try to figure out which one's me.

And my second gig of 2007, also in Illinois

Now, for an actual concert shot:

How do you all meet up for so many concerts?

LauraA
05-16-2008, 01:34 AM
Well, we talk about it on here, see who is going, then make plans to meet. We call it a CAMPout.

Labby
05-16-2008, 01:35 AM
The boards. If you spend enough time talking with people on the boards, then you start to want to meet everyone in person. So you pick a concert, and people go just to see each other.

I mean, J's awesome in concert, but I'm not going to fly to Illinois just to see him perform. I can wait until he comes to Oregon for that. But to meet these people, you have to travel. And they are what made the trips worth it.

Speaking of meeting people at concerts, I met fellow Team Campers Sandy and Brian (and a few others at the concert in SA)....unfortunately, we didn't get a group pic because things were so crazy that day, but I did get a pic with Sandy by the busses :)

I hope to meet even more Team Campers at Red Letter Rockfest next month....or even bring on new ones! :)

Was it Sandy "4given" or a different Sandy? That picture is great. I haven't gotten one by his bus yet. We did walk past it in Chicago, but I was so scared they were sleeping in there or something, that we hurried by. I have to admit, though, I was kind of in awe being so close to it. lol

Nope, it was Sandy (sv3)

We walked by the busses two or three times that day and I never saw any of the crew! Sandy said she did but she didn't talk to them. I couldn't believe it though...and we even hung out by the busses at one point for about 15 minutes....nothing. Then it hit me....how funny would it be if they were all on the bus looking out laughing at us hehehe

It was very cool though! :)

Amen! That's been one of the most amazing blessings of the whole CAMPing experience... meeting so many cool people.

You asked how we get to know each other. Like some said, we just hung on the boards. A lot of us (although not all) remember back in the day when J played for hundreds, not thousands. (One guy from NJ even went so far back that he said there were about 30 people in the audience! Labby went to Festival Con Dios, the first official J tour.) Well, we did a lot of grassroots stuff, like posting posters and stuff like that. We were rewarded with meets & greets. This was before the glam of the newer street team. A lot of us still hang out long after the show to see if J appears or to go to the end of the autograph line to hang out.

And we had an awesome coordinator who had some sweet connections. He came out and chilled with us at House of Blues in Chicago and played a little song. Good times. (Video quality is horrible, it was dark.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwPe1MtxHgk

Oh, and Labby, I love seeing the rust shirt! That's one shirt I never got to see!! ;)

I never get tired of watching that video! And to think I was SO CLOSE to going to that concert with a friend, then decided it would be too hard to get home at 4a.m. and do daycare at 6a.m. What was I thinking?! :( But I'm glad you all had such a great time and that this video was made and shared.
