So you have clothes?
You have Shelter?
You have okay or good health... like your not on your death bed (hopefully!)
You may or may not have other living close relatives or that you talk to but they maybe still alive....
You have money to buy gas, food, clothes, pay bills etc?
You have maybe some extra money for some new fun toys?
You may have kids?
But STILL you complain about the littlest things.... like gas prices!!! or something else like your boss? The street you live on? The car you drive isnt good enough for everyone else?
SO do something about that.... be confident in God and in yourself to change... in a good way though. To change your attitude towards the way you view things.
Heres a quick story... tonight i was listening to what my pastor had to say and he said "change the way of thinking to positive and you will get positive response from people... keep a negative attitude.... you will recieve negativity."
How come the people who are homeless... in third world countries who do not have as skilled if that docs operating on them if they have $$ or are able to. How come those people can live on a $ a day but we asa society go out and buy a coffee or any other drink substances as if it was very little money going down the drain?
SO pretty much what i am trying to say is be happy, greatful and dont forget to thank God for all these things that we have or maybe you have that no one else you know does.

Yeah, absolutely. This reminds me of a blog post from Compassion's site. I bookmarked it because it's pretty powerful.
http://blog.compassion.com/sardines-or-lessons-from-the-field/
I love this point that she makes toward the end...
"It’s not that we don’t have real problems here, too. We might be facing unemployment or divorce or infertility or cancer. Our problems are real and hard. But what I’m learning from the field is that I can’t wait for life to be perfect to live in Christ’s joy. I sometimes think that if only this one thing happened, I’d be happy. But I can’t wait to have joy and peace until my storms have passed."

The Compassion blog about their Day of Prayer and Fasting talks about the same thing....
The price for rice, beans, corn and other food staples throughout the world has risen exponentially in recent months, creating extreme hardship and suffering for families living on $1 or $2 a day.
Imagine if you had to spend 80 percent of what you earned on groceries. Can you imagine that?
I can’t. And even though I’ve traveled to Rwanda, Kenya and China and seen extreme poverty, I still have a hard time picturing a life where I would live on $2 a day.
80 percent of my income on groceries? If I was in that boat, I’d be selling it. And if I’m in that situation, I can’t afford … I can’t afford anything.
The global food crisis is affecting everyone in some way. But how it affects me is totally different than how it affects my sponsored child, Lerionga. It’s much more intimate for him.
I’m sure you’re well aware of the record high price of gas in the U.S. and the ridiculous price tag for a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. I’m usually oblivious to grocery prices, but $4.50 for a loaf of bread that used to be $2.50 got my attention.
My loaf of bread is more than two days salary for many families.
One person on the site suggested that we take that day of prayer and fasting June 25th and donate what we would've spent on groceries for that day to the Global Food Crisis...I think that's an excellent idea!

So my question for you.... im not trying to be mean in anyway or anything like that but....
Why dont we rejoice that even though it may take some of us longer or more $ to be able to afford some things that God is still great to provide us with the oppertunity to even be able to have a job paying more then just a dollar a day and to be able to support our families still.
I thank god every day for my wife and daughter and giving me the oppertunity to be able to have food in the house for them and soo much more.. i am just soo blessed with everything i have in my house for my girls.
One thing i really thank God for is that i didnt turn out like my parents. Cus one thing not many people know about my life is that before i started working and i moved out of my house when i was young (15) i lived in poverty and we could barely afford what we had. So for how i have even turned my entire life around ( i could go on story after story about how the past 7 years have changed my life and getting married at a "young age" really changed everything for me.)

I suppose the answer is staring you in the mirror.
I'm not saying you're negative. I'm saying that joy is a choice.

i agree that joy is a choice and im not trying to be negative in the words im saying at all... im just saying that all emotions you use all the words you say are all a choice... SO then why are people negative more then positive?
Ex. All i have heard lately has been complains about gas prices! everywhere you look.... Why is the gas soo high today!! or something like that... im just saying why cant people say god thank you for providing me with a car that i can take to work everyday... and the money to put into the car kind of a deal...
but if i sound negative about it... i dont mean to at all believe me.

hey Jayson the reason people do this is because that is how our society is... i think if you even look deep enough into your life there is negative attatuide in you aswell... but usually people do not look into their own lives when they post things like this. (not to be harsh)
But i know i complain about a lot of this and i am trying to change from complaining about somethings... it is working gradually :)
God Bless,

Today our pastor spoke about looking at the good side of each situation. We had our church picnic, and people had mentioned that they were worried that it was going to be so hot it would be uncomfortable. It was cold. People worried it was going to rain. It didn't. People were concerned about how bad the mosquitoes have been lately, but it was windy and we weren't bothered by them. So, he said even though it could be tempting to complain about the cold, wind and threat of rain, we should be thanking God that it wasn't too hot, it didn't rain, and the mosquitoes all tumbled head over heals past us in the wind.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things

but here is the thing dude, alot of the families that are complaining....are either barely making it or not making it....when you are on a budget of lets say 28,000 a year...and gas is $4.10 (my area gas is $3.89 at most places) after you pay for bills, food, shelter, clothing, that isnt alot left for gas. i have heard of families not eating just to pay for gas. so if you were in that situation, it would be kinda hard to be positive...just my 2 cents

im not complaining, i am just asking a simple question on why people complain. i understand that there are families out there that are just making it. but there are also families who survive on little to nothing each day, some of them dont even have enough $$ to feed their own families. but we as a society complain more about our needs then those who have very little.

Hey ya'll well i have learned that it took me about five years to fiqure it out but i finially had fiqured it out this pst school year well it hit moe over the summer last year.
Well for the longest time i had in my mind that i was going to fail, im going to fail. i daont know why but i had that in my little mind. but one thing was that one teacher had changed me will he helped me i dont know how but he did.
well the being of my Junior year of high school. i had thought about you know if i start saying to myself im going to pass and that i might pass. well it did help me out alot the teacher who helped me out the 2nd of my sopmore year i was always getting help because i never understood it and then he stoped helping me so i could learn it and i did that had him check it and all.
well back to my jr. year i had gotting his help but i had worked on my math by myself and i had a few question but not a whole lot but enough so he could help me :-) and he was very proud of me he said i have changed. but whats so bad is that i had a posstive attuited and i prayed and that and yes sometimes i had stilled fail but i relized maybe i didnt really understand it.
so i was dissapoined but one thing some one told me all i can do is try my best thats all one can ask for
and what awsome is that i alwasy tought i need to prove something to the teacher who helped me i dont have to prove him nothing he will be proud of me as long as i do oNE thing and thats if i try my best he will be proud of me.
but yes the whole possitve vs. negtive thoughts. the one thing that always over powers is the negtive thoughts. because i had negtive thoughts for half my school life because of all kinds of things
so yes if you have posstive thoughsyou much better off then those horriable negtive thoughts.
