Alright! Jeremy will be just an hour away on August 6th. The WI State Fair!! Since it's on a church night, (Weds), I might just ask pastor if he wants to have service in West Allis that night. LOL.

Is there anyone coming this way for the State Fair? It would be an awesome CAMPout!

What a treat, the past 3 concerts for me have been out of state, (IL). Well, now that I think of it, Rockford, IL is probably closer to me that West Allis. I'll have to mapquest that to know for sure. Oh well, at least he's getting closer to Madison. :)

I think I'll probably just take Ben to the state fair for the day. I would feel funny asking my friends from church to miss service to go. Bought two tickets last night....WAH! I'm in the 15th row. :( I thought since it was just listed, I would get one of the first tix, but they've been for sale since 6/7! I'm right in front of the sound booth. (Hi John!) I'll have to hold Ben or he won't be able to see unless I let him stand on the chair. Dan almost said he'd come with us, but we're going to be just returning from our camping trip Monday, so he'd have to take another day off work. Maybe he'll change his mind. :)

Amy....did you take a look at the tickets? I think there are chair accommodations up front. What do you think, any possibility?

For those of you who have been to Jeremy's concerts held at state fairs, does he usually sign or not? Before or after the event?

Thanks.

I've never seen Jeremy at a state fair. If any of you have, did he sign there? Before or after?

We saw Big Daddy Weave at the Dane Co. Fair last year and the whole band signed. They were really nice.

Never at a state fair, but I saw him at the rodeo and he had the M&G but no signing. Hope someone who's been to a state fair can help you out and give you a happier answer :p

I've been to concerts there and the seating for wheelchairs is yards and yards and yards away by the grand stands and behind a chain link fence. So you have to try an angle just right to see through it. The performer looks like a dot. I won't be going to this one.

Amy, that sure doesn't seem right to me. It makes me sad. Maybe he'll come back to the collisium in Madison some time...maybe for the SLTB Tour.

Thanks, Kelly. :)

I sure hope he does come to Madison at the Coliseum. I wouldn't have a bad seat at all. I go there all the time and where I sit, if someone stands infront of me I can see clear over them. :) Or I can try to get floor seats. I saw one man have his daughter in a wheelchair down on the side kind of up a bit from the floor. But still may be safer sit in my normal spot in case people went up to the stage and I got blocked. My normal spot is about maybe 60 feet from the stage.

LauraA

I'm still feeling bad about the Rockford concert, how you couldn't sit in your chair in front, then when everyone stood, you were totally blocked from seeing anything.

Keep praying that the SLTB Tour comes to Madison.:)

I would hope that there is a chance that it would. I see that there is 4 months between the last 2 dates posted now that there is no concerts posted. Hopefully between December and April of "09 he will come back to WI and to the Alliant Center. *fingers crossed*

I know I could get mom to that one if he was there.

The State Fair show I went to had no planned pre or post show M&G but J did come out to the merch table about 30 minutes after the show and stayed till everyone got stuff signed. It was awesome! (especially after my flight from Vegas to Seattle was delayed 4 hours that day, it made the travel day so worth it!)
I'd heard from other people that night that he sometimes does that at those types of shows so I made sure to stick around... again, so worth it! ;)

That's what he did at the festival I saw him at, too. I had to leave during his last song to RUN across the field and get in the signing line. (Yeah, this grandma ran. It's wasn't pretty. lol) That was the first time I met him and it was awesome!!!

Aren't I a little over the age limit for ATF? lol But I will Google the Sears Center to see if I can find a map of the seating and see if it shows wheelchair seating.

I just remembered that I think I went to this arena to see Joel Osteen speak. The wheelchair seating is basically the nose bleed section. Thank goodness they had big screens he was on or we would have been looking at a dot. lol But the night was sooo good!

Hahaha. Yeah, I get so nervous when I'm talking to him. He never makes me feel pressured, but inside I feel like I should rush because he's got a line of people and he's probably tired. So I babble out everything stupid and forget to say what I want to say. It's pitiful. lol

Is the admission into the fair the admission into the concert, or is that a different purchase? Mom is interested in going!

I may call the State Fair office to find out about the concert seating.

LauraA

Fair admission is $8 and the concert tix are $15. Parking is $10. Let me know what you think of the seating. I'm hoping.....

Wheels4Jesus
07-18-2008, 11:43 AM
Called and wheelchairs are allowed on the track, but not in the front. The seating for me is in the back and to the side. So I don't think I am going to bother. I'll just hope to see him again in Madison at the colloseum.

LauraA
07-21-2008, 09:10 AM
Oh BUMMER, Amy!! I'm so sorry. We'll keep praying that Jeremy gets booked in Madison soon. Maybe for the SLTB Tour, if he does one.

ATF...yes, we're over the age limit but I called and asked the lady in charge if I could bring a group down for Jeremy's concert and she said she'd check into it and get back to me. She asked if we would be willing to go to at least part ATF on Saturday and I said that we would. Maybe I'll call her if I don't hear back soon. And according to this lady, it will be held in a church in Hoffman Estates, IL, not the Sears Center as I'd heard at first.

Hmmmm. I wonder what the chair seating would be there....?

Wheels4Jesus
07-21-2008, 03:12 PM
I would think that the church would have their own rules as to if wheelchairs are allowed up front or not.

On J's tour page it does say Sears Center for the venue. It reads like this.....
10/04/08 Hoffman Estates, IL Aquire the Fire/ Sears Center

LauraA
07-21-2008, 03:32 PM
Yeah, that's why I thought it was there, at the Sears Center. (At first I thought that meant the Sears Tower.) But when I talked to the lady, she said it was at a church. Here is the info from the website:

Tomorrow is the WI State Fair. Please pray for safety for Jeremy and the guys, as well as all attending. Pray for anointing on Jeremy and open hearts for those who hear the message.

Elephant ears?!?! lol

LauraA
08-07-2008, 01:36 PM
Elephant Ears are kind of flat pastries, I think with a touch of cinnamon on them. They're ok, but I'd much rather have heaps of frosting on something. (See the weight loss thread. Yikes.)

Last night was the Wi State Fair concert. I went with Connie and Sami and to say that we were blessed is somehow a huge understatement. Jeremy was at his best. I don't know how he can keep getting better and better when he was so awesome to start with, but he does. The Lord has His mighty hand on him, that is for sure!

He started out singing a few songs, then began to minister the Word with passion in between songs. He read from Psalm 33 and Hebrews. He talked about how the news in the world is getting so bad, but we are not of the world, we are Christ's. We are lights shining in the darkness. He read and talked about God's creation and how He spoke the stars into existence. What was so extra beautiful about that is we were outside and it was a clear night. The stars were shining overhead and there was a slight breeze. I kept looking up in awe of God's handiwork. It took my breath away.

The concert lasted at least an hour and it wasn't rushed at all. A very comfortable pace with lots of rocking and jumping, and much praise and worship.

Once again, I left with my heart overflowing with love for Jesus and a burning desire to live a more dedicated life for Him!

Pictures to follow....

Ok, before the J pictures, I have a few others to show you.

It is not acceptable to NOT eat a cream puff at the State Fair, and just to prove to you that I did, here is a picture. This is Sami and I sharing one. She tried to smish it on my face, but I caught her hand in time. LOL. (I don't think she really would have.)

Brave little Sami went on this ride...they got up to the top and while I blinked, they arrived back down. Terrifying!

John had told everyone in line what the guidelines are for the signing. High-5s ok, handshaking ok, no hugs or pictures with or bending over the table with Jeremy. Well, we abided by these, no problem. However, at the end of the line, Jeremy knew a few of the people and they did get hugs and pictures with him. It was fun to watch.

I had already gone through the line and was sitting there while Sami chatted with Leif. It hit me that I never told Jeremy how good the concert was. I always get up to my turn in line and my brain goes to mush and I babble like a fool or go blank. If I do the old babbling thing, I have no clue what I talked about, but I know that I never say what I intended to say. So this time I knew that I forgot to tell him how great the worship was and I thought I'd jump in at the end of the line and just quickly tell him that the night was awesome. When he saw me again he said, "Would you like a picture?" He came up to me and Connie took the picture. It was really nice of him, and I certainly didn't expect him to do that. Then I was able to tell him that he really ministered to all of us and I thanked him. What a special blessing it was.

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb189/Raptureready49/Wi%20State%20Fair%20and/State%20Fair%20and%20Concert/LauraandJeremyWiStateFair80608.jpg

I sent him home with a little something for Adie and the girls because I know they "give him up" for days at a time so that he can go out and minister on the road. It's appreciated and we all love and pray for them!

Kelly

Awww that's so awesome Laura! :) With as many times as you've met him, I can't see him NOT wanting to take a picture with you! *wink*

That scares me that sometimes they don't allow pictures though! Cause I never take anything to autograph....I'm not an autograph kinda person....I'm more into the pictures! The only autograph I have from J is one that my friend got for me because I had J sign something else for my brother and sis-in-law.

I agree with you too! When I met SDS back in June, as you know, their concert touched me SOOOO much! I just wanted to be able to tell them that, but I got up there and went to mush! :p Jo kept saying "Man we saw you rockin' up there in the front, that was so awesome!" To which I said something along the lines of "Yep" Hehehehe....sheesh! :p I was actually able to tell Jeremy how much I appreciated him giving me his pick though...so I'm proud of myself for that hehe...but the week before the show they had done a live podcast and a fan asked them the whole "deserted island, what would you bring?" question and Josh was the ONLY one to say "boat" which I LOVE when people say that because duh...why would you want anything BUT a boat when you're stranded on an island hehe. But I forgot to tell him that....then I sat next to their table, which was across from Jeremy's because I was still waiting for adam, and Josh walked by so I called him over and told him that I give him serious props for the "boat" thing hehe....then the rest of the guys started making their way over so I was going to tell them how much they ministered to me, but Josh goes "Well, we've got an interview to get to, but we'll be back" And they left :( Oh well...

LauraA
08-07-2008, 03:22 PM
LOL! Isn't that funny how we do that brain freeze stuff. Goodness.

I've only talked to him 5 or 6 times, so it's not that much. A lot of people on here have talked to him 20 to 30 times.

Actually, I think he thought I would be asking for a picture, so he was just bring polite. I did tell Connie to be ready for one in case I was brave enough to ask, but my intention was really to finally tell him how he ministered to us. I know I wouldn't have asked for the picture...just couldn't do that after being told not to.

LauraA
08-07-2008, 05:57 PM
Ok, I have a few more minutes to write now. I wanted to share a few more things. Something that really touched my heart was some comments that Sami made. She talked about how much it meant to her that Leif was so pleasant and easy to talk to. (No pictures of Leif that showed up this time. :() Actually, I'm going to go back and see if I can edit one that might work....be back...

Nope, it didn't work out. I had to make the image so much bigger that it got really fuzzy. Oh well.

And now I forgot what else I was going to say. Well, we got home and 1 a.m. and I didn't get to bed until after 2a.m. It was almost 20 hours that I'd been awake and I'm tired. (Got up at 7 this morning.)

Wheels4Jesus
08-08-2008, 09:57 AM
Do you mean that you could get a pic but just couldn't lean over the table for it? It seems odd that they would not allow pics in a signing line.

LauraA
08-08-2008, 10:43 AM
They said not to lean over table for pictures with him or ask to have him stand with you for one, but you could take pics of him signing and things. I think it may be a time issue, but I'm not sure. I know it would take a lot of time to "pose" with tons of people after a show.

Wheels4Jesus
08-08-2008, 01:25 PM
What songs did he sing?

LauraA
08-08-2008, 01:39 PM
Tons. Let's see, (not in order)

Tonight
Take You Back
Give Me Jesus (last song)
Give You Glory
Speaking Louder Than Before
Lay Down My Pride
Right Here
I Still Believe
Walk By Faith
This Man
Let it Fade
Take My Life

Can't think of any others, though there could be another one or two.

I would LOVE to hear him sing, "I Wait For the Lord" some time! But I'm telling you, this was an AWESOME top notch set. I was so blessed by it, as were hundreds of others.
