My devotional is doing about a week and a half lesson on different insects and the past three days have focused on locusts (rhyme unintended hehe). Here are some lessons we can learn from locusts:

1) Don't quit, your victory is assured!
Keep praying, keep fighting, keep believing.
"If God is for us, who can be against us?" - Ro 8:31

2) Alone you can't, but together we can!
To reach your destiny you must surround yourself with the right people.
"One can face a thousand, but two can chase ten thousand!" - Dt 32:30

3) When God moves, be sure you move!
There comes a moment when you have to trust God, recognize His timing, take a leap of faith and let the wind of His Spirit take you where you need to go.
"The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands" - Proverbs 30:27

4) Stay sensitive to the wind!
God, not you, determines your life purpose.
"Though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again" - Heb 5:12

5) Instead of following, lead the way!
If you keep hoping someone will take you by the hand and tell you how it's all going to work out, you'll never get anywhere.
"Be strong and courageous...for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" - Jos 1:9
