I tend to hate Christian books; the Fiction books tend to lack the realism I enjoy.

But some good ones I've read:

Mere Christianity -- CS Lewis
The Screwtape Letters -- CS Lewis
A More Elite Soldier -- Chuck Holton
Bulletproof -- Chuck Holton

I just read "Edge of Honor" by Gilbert Morris. It was really good.

I also read "The Shack" a few weeks ago. That was interesting, but a little scary for me at times. That book had a lot of thought provoking ideas in it.

Right now I'm reading "Treasures of the North" by Tracie Peterson. It's good so far. I had to get out of bed last night because I wanted to see what happens in it. LOL.

Hey labby, you want realism, then read "Monday Night Jihad" by Jason Elam (yes, the former Denver Broncos kicker who has saddened me so by going to the Falcons:(). I could not put this book down! The sequel is supposed to come out in January of 09...I can't wait!

I got that book the night I saw him and Taylor Mason in concert. I have yet to read it.

Mere Christianity and The Screwtape letters really have had a deep lasting impact in my life. These two books where shown to me during a time in my life when I was really struggling about this whole Christian thing and I was in doubt of my faith or if this whole Christian thing was even real. C.S. Lewis became a mentor of mine and helped me to work out this confusion. Its not that these books replaced the bible, it would be more accurate to say that C.S. Lewis became a mentor of mine threw his writings. I consider ''Mere Christianity'' to be the greatest dissertation of Christianity ever written!
