We all know its important to spend time in the Word of God. So what are you reading and what is it saying to you?

Sorry, it's been that sort of week for me. I don't think I made any time for the Word. I find it fairly amazing how creative we can get for not being there. This was a sideways week for me, and I should have really been into it; instead, I may have read one day.:(

Something that has helped me is a podcast called the daily audio bible. http://dailyaudiobible.com (http://dailyaudiobible.com/)

1 John. It's interesting. After all of Paul's stuff, reading John is difficult, because the style seems to be so different.

I've been making an effort to read every day, and have been for the most part successful. I'm in Psalms right now.

Last night I read 2 Peter, 1, 2, and 3 John. Very interesting stuff.
I like how 1-3 John progresses:
1 John -- Jesus had a body. It does matter what you do with your body. Love each other, which means help each other.
2 John -- Okay, when I said help each other, I didn't mean false teachers. You help them, you're going to share a bit in their judgement. I'll say more when I come to visit.
3 John -- Okay, it's great that you're no longer helping false teachers. However, you do need to help the people I send you, as well as those who genuinely love Christ and teach about Him. I'll help you sort it out when I come down there.
Tonight I get to read Jude and start Revelation. After I finish that, I get to start back at Genesis.
