As Everyone knows, from the old message board, the love and passion I have for photography. Photography is a gift that I was given and VERY thankful for. I love taking God's Creation and using it as my canvas! I also love to view other people's photos..so feel free to post them here!

Not so much anymore...I use a filter thats called "Old Age Blur" As you can tell..I used a Sepia a lot..i myself would pick it any day over Black and White...

I create my own sepia....the sepia on my camera is HORRIBLE!!!! But I too love sepia and b&w! :)

Here are a few I took at a local festival in Gruene Tx...Gruene is an awesome historic town that is considered part of my hometown with many photo ops. You may have heard of Gruene Hall before...many big acts got their start there.

Thanks! You have some nice photos yourself!! I use Photoshop CS2 to edit all my photos. What do you use??

I also use Photoshop, but not the CS2. This is just Photoshop itself.

I do not usually do post-processing with my pictures. But if I do, I adjust the curves, resize, crop, and sharpen. I don't know how to use Photoshop other than these kinds of editing. ;D

The green leaf above is post-processed, adjusting the curve to make it look more dramatic. The other photos above are directly from the camera, I only resized them.

Here are some of my new pictures just taken today using my new Close-Up filter +2 and with +4 installed altogether.

I just shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot. :D My friends tend to say I am a little wierd for shooting pictures that are out of the box.

Post some of yours too! Be trigger happy with your camera and play all the settings.

I believe what you shoot is an output of your soul. Your photos reflect who you are and what you think. Convert those thoughts into an expressive art.

Ok this is pretty much my favorite picture I've ever taken!!!! I was just taking random photos of the flower garden at Kids Club and I made this one black and white, then put it on the computer and messed with the brightness and contrast and viola! :)

So I decided to go brunette again. I was one of those people who vowed NEVER to touch the stuff, but then in college a friend of mine dyed her hair and it looked awesome....next thing you know, I'd been bit by the bug. My first hair dying experience was nothing short of terrible!!!! I let a friend of mine do it and he used an entire box on less than half of my head....I sat there with dye soaking into my head while he ran to walmart to buy more! Needless to say, it came out black! And to make matters worse, over the next several days, my hair started falling out in chunks! :eek: You'd think that would be enough to make anyone stop doing it wouldn't you? Well I called my stylist in a panic and she said "just load it up with conditioner twice a day for a week...and next time, use conditioner every day for weeks afterwards." That little phrase was enough push for me to try again. This time, I decided to go blonde to get rid of the darkness, which had started to grow out so I had this VERY noticeable line around the middle of my head. But instead of getting bleach, we bought blonde dye. Big mistake!!!! The blonde part of my hair turned orange, and the dark hair got about 2 shades lighter. Then as it started to grow out, the roots were darker, and my head looked like a big box of neapolitan ice cream! Hehehe. I went to my stylist and put down $125 for her to fix it! But was I done yet? Nope! A few years later, my sister got big on the hair dying and hers looked SOOOO good! So I took her to WalMart one day and had her pick out a color for me and I LOVED it!!! Since then, I've learned what to do and what NOT to do when it comes to hair dying. And I learned to find your color, then stick with it. Well I've gotten bored with it and decided to go a little darker, but I must've left it in too long because I went a LOOOT darker! But I actually like it and it will lighten over the next few days as more of the dye comes out. And if anyone else out there dyes their hair, you know, it feels AWESOME afterwards!!! :) You get that fresh-from-the-salon look and feel!

It rained really hard, but only for about 20 minutes or so. It was a really quick storm, but pretty intense. There was one bolt of lightning that was closer than any I've ever seen before. I was grabbing something out of the fridge and almost dropped it on my foot. :p

Its amazing some of the things you see while driving down the road. Last year I went on a road trip to Maryland and Washington DC. On our way back to my house, here in Indiana. We get within five miles from home and guess what we see...something I have never seen before and if you have....then im amazed..one of the funniest things ive seen for the driver seat...lol Here it is......

Man you guys, I went to my brother's tonight and on my way home, the sky was INCREDIBLE!!!! The sky itself was a light blue, and the clouds streaked across the sky. They were dark blue outlined on the tops with orange and pink....and the sky below the clouds was orange.....I just can't even do it justice....SOOOO wish I had my camera with me!!!!

I had a moment like that yesterday...except the shot would've been more like the port-a-potty shot. :p

I was golfing yesterday and apparently someone had gotten pretty upset, because as I was walking up the fairway, I glanced over at the condos and there was a golf club up on the roof. :p I've hit the roofs of those condos several times with balls, but I've never seen a club make it up there. :p

I was in bed one night and noticed something crawling on the wall on the other side of the room. Suddenly it disappeared from the wall, and then I saw it fly right above my head. Now it was on the wall right above my head. I jumped outta bed, but I couldn't do anything to kill it cause it was too high, so I waited and waited. Finally I realized I was gonna have to throw something at it, so I grabbed a shoe and threw it. It flew off the wall and landed on the back of my pillow. I wasn't actually sure if I'd missed it at the time, so I was afraid to go over there....so I waited and waited. Then it flew back to the other side of the room and landed in the corner. I couldn't reach it, so I threw a blanket over it and went back to bed. I woke up the next day and didn't even think about it. Then all of a sudden I heard this insane chirping and I remembered it. So I chunked a shoe on top of the blanket and the grasshopper was no more :p

I've seen grasshoppers do that, too. They can jump, hop, fly...whatever it is they do, really far and it's kind of freaky. But I have to admit, when I was a kid, I would collect them and make little houses for them. I thought they were cute. LOL:)

I was kind of crouched below our deck trying to get a picture of this spider, I had seen it earlier and failed miserably trying to get a picture with my other camera. Then suddenly I felt something weird on the top of my foot and I jumped and whacked my head on the deck...I looked down and the little guy in the picture below was sitting there...apparently he was feeling left out and came and jumped on my foot.

Thats cool!! Over the past two years Indiana passed a new law.... There is not SUCH thing as "Out of State" Fireworks...So you name it...we can set it off....AND we now can set off fireworks ALL year longggg!! Any other state like that??

Wow! That's awesome!!! I've never been able to get good fireworks pics.....but I just got a new camera that actually has a fireworks setting, so next time I get a chance, I'm gonna try it out :)

Mine has a fireworks setting, but it sets the exposure time to 2 sec, and I didn't have anything to steady my camera good enough, so I was just playing around with iso setting.

Nope....pretty much everything but sparklers is illegal here in Michigan. :rolleyes:
Most people just go to Indiana to get fireworks...it's kind of crazy, you'd think that since everyone does it anyways, and they really don't enforce the law, they'd just make them legal so they could tax it.

That's a pretty cool picture. I have fun taking pictures of fireworks, you never know what you're going to get.
They are illegal in the city where I live. They also enforce it big time now. I think they got tired of all the fires!
We always go a couple towns over where they shoot them off after the baseball game. They look cooler anyways!

:eek: I love it!!!!!!! On Independence day I was trying to get pictures of the fireworks, but we weren't actually at the place they were doing them so they were kinda sorta really far away...and my camera has bad zoom :confused:

I just had to share this one. Kittens are always cute, but the little gray striped one in the middle was actually stillborn. My 16 year old daughter had read an article the week before online and so by massaging his tiny chest a little managed to get his little heart going and tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/9/08), he will be two weeks old. Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool. :D
