Forgive me if there's already a thread for this..:confused: We used to have quite a few fans here. Anyone catch the Season Premier tonight? I already have favorite teams...lol. I'm pretty sure it's not over yet/ hasn't started yet for all you non-east-coasters so I won't talk much about it just yet. The detour was kinda neat though. ;)

AR rocks... but this episode was so rushed and they edited out most of the challenges, so it made it not as exciting and suspenseful.

I was sad to see the team go that went... they seemed genuinely happy to be there, and there is already a team I don't like, and of course it's the required "bickering couple." I mean next week the woman says, "They didn't even say hi to me!" :rolleyes:

So far I like the mother and son and the brother and sister. We'll see what happens!

On the Detour, I would have picked to go up... but I think it would have been the wrong choice after watching the show!

I immediately like the same teams Todd...and of course the "frat boys" are annoying..lol. Do they show more of the challenges that got cut online somewhere? hmm...I'll have to take a looksy.

OK... my two teams kind of did a polarization effect.

Toni & Dallas - thumbs up for the class act and for giving directions to another team.
Nick & Starr - Well, Nick, you lied to two teams in the same challenge! Thumbs down!

Those are still my two teams, but we'll have to see...

I'm loving the dumbness of the divorcees! They look for a container that doesn't exist, then they sing a song about not misreading a clue, then they let their taxi drive away, then they realize that their taxi hasn't driving away! Ugh! The southern belles are smarter than them!! But they do make me laugh out loud literally, so that's good! :D

And we already have the boisterous personalities. What's up with the blonde chick, "Yeah, I got them to get a bigger plane." SHUT UP ALREADY!
And the frizzy brunette, "Ugh, they didn't even say hi to us!" ARGH! Get some self esteem!!

There's lots of good tension between some of the teams, too... it's gonna be a good season!

And again, ignorant Americans show up in Brazil. Um... they speak PORTUGUESE in Brazil, NOT SPANISH!

It was a good episode of head shakes and laughs! :eek:

And...come on. You, blondie, got an airline to switch planes? Definitely hard to believe and then she just kept on and on...:rolleyes:

I thought it was a little funny that everyone kept telling the brother (Nick?) during the detour to write down everything thing and he just kept looking at the wall like this :confused:

The divorcees are definitely good for a laugh or two...I kinda liked them but after all that I'm not sure I have much confidence in them.

It's an awesome show where teams of 2 compete in a race around the world. It's on CBS on Sunday nights at 8 eastern. It's fabulous!

It's a reality show in its 13th season! I'm not a big fan of all the reality TV, but I love Amazing Race and Survivor - the originals! And The Mole is awesome, too.

I could sum up this race in four words:
BEST...ROAD...BLOCK...EVER!! :D

I find it ironic that the geeks got out on a reading error!!

And I'm still loving the mom & son. He is so nice to her, even when he tells her to hustle. I love how they are so nonchalant that they were dead last and finished in second. Kind of like the hippies, just don't care and do well. They remain the only team that I'm rooting for at this point... Starr & Nick both have been shady and need to redeem themselves!

But anyway, this is kinda funny. No, it's not available online. However there are like 28 clips that you can watch that range anywhere from 50 seconds to 2 and a half minutes long...pretty much the entire episode...lol.

Sweet, I knew you couldn't watch it on CBS, but glad to see somebody has it (legally, hopefully!)

Tonight's episode was pretty good.

The Roadblock was very scary... and I'm not sure I could have handled the Fast Forward.

At the Detour, I think I would have picked kiwis originally, but I probably wouldn't have quit. Then I would have been ticked when I got home because that wind kart thing looked wicked fun!

I was hoping the divorcees would go before the blondes. Yech.

There really were no teams to hate on today, so that made it a little boring! ;)

I totally want to do the fast foward...but I think I would have freaked a little when the tower started shaking...ick!

The kart thing looked like a blast...did the girl really break her arm? She sure cried a lot..

The warriors were so funny to me. I think it was the divorcee that couldn't grab the clue because she kept jumping. Oh man that was hilarious.

The only team I officially don't like is the divorcees! They are so condescending to the other teams, yet they are so dumb and can't figure out the clues!

The two couples remaining, they have their idiosyncrasies, but I don't mind them.

The frat boys are not the brightest crayons in the box, but they entertain me.

Bro & Sis have been nicer again lately, so they're cool.

And Toni & Dallas continue to play a classy game, and I'm rooting for them!

I thought that echo chest thumping thing at the temple was pretty sweet!

It was a pretty good episode, but that's all I've got for now! :)

I was sort of glad that Ken and Tina weren't first again. Yay for Nick and Starr! Yay for Toni and Dallas!

Fun episode...

There's not much I can say except I hope Starr & Dallas hook up... and I think that the divorcees and the frat boys should hook up, since they are all pretty much not the sharpest tools in the shed.

I liked the lady with the fire on her head! :)

Yeah, me neither!

This was one of my favorite episodes in a long time.

While Nick & Starr were one of my early favorites, I no longer like them. They've gotten kind of cocky and I don't like the "white lying is okay" nonsense. What's the deal with trying to trick Dallas & his mom, and then sharing answers with them when they decided to use their info? They use people like trash to get what they want. Also, in the preview for next week, it looks like there is some snatch action from Nick with a clue.

I LOVED the chalk throwing roadblock! It was so cool! Even those not part of the roadblock got hit, it was great! Once again, the divorcees show their intelligence by NOT READING THE CLUE! When will they get it?! (I guess never, now. haha)

I actually (surprisingly) enjoyed Ken & Tina in this last episode.

I loved how at the power lines, the two dumb teams were there at the same time. Classic! The guy at the end of the power line challenge was hilarious. I liked his gestures.

Ol' Phil is trying to be funny with the Detour. The real Detour title could have been "shocking" vs. "burned."

Dallas & his mom remain my favorites. I loved when they were running with the kids. That hasn't happened much this season.

I have to say, I was actually disappointed with who came in last out of the two possible last teams...

I thought that (Terry?) was a whiny baby with the vegetarian thing. If he was morally opposed to eating animals and backed out for that reason, I would have given him kudos... but come on, people have had to eat nastier stuff!!!

Nick & Starr... "Pride goeth before the fall." I wouldn't mind seeing them crash and burn next week. :) Only one team is first on the most important leg, the last leg!

Frat boys luck out again... While they may have been endearing at the beginning, they are getting flat out annoying. And you're not an underdog if you claim to be one yourself! I have Schadenfraude that Dan is the one now making mistakes in Team Dandrew.

YES! to Dallas & Toni finally getting a first! Did anybody else notice when his black shirt was dirty during one of the interviews? I thought it was foreshadowing to a dirty task, but I had no idea it'd have to do with flour.

I actually enjoyed Ken & Tina again. I hope they beat out the frat boys for Final 3.

And I liked Nick today, Starr not so much. It is important to stay calm, and he would have gone out with grace had they been eliminated.

I really enjoyed the Russian marching!

I really enjoyed watching Dan and Andrew attempt the Russian marching! My goodness ... have you ever seen a more uncoordinated person in your life?! LOL.

I haven't watched every episode, but I've seen some here and there. I was also excited for Dallas & Toni to come in first. Yay! That flour-moving task looked awful!

Nick's attitude was even more impressive given all the trouble they were having getting from place to place. It would've been easy to freak out and/or complain in their situation!

I am not pleased at all with the outcome tonight. But I have to say, it was definitely an intense and good episode! I imagine that countries with non-English alphabets (Cyrillic like Russian, Arabic, Greek, Asian, etc.) would be by far the hardest legs of the race. And wow Russians are giving! I wonder if they are truly that generous or if the cameras encouraged them! ;) I doubt Americans would be that giving to people begging for Subway change, even if they do not appear homeless.

No kidding! They're going to steal this whole race. If there is any undeserving team!

Toni & Dallas still went out with class and didn't get upset.

I like Nick, but Starr needs to settle down.

Ken & Tina were at each others' throats again tonight, but I still don't mind them, because they are improving.

I was also wondering where Toni and Dallas were in the finale. My mom joked that maybe they were stuck in the country where he lost the money and passports. lol
