Hello ladies. I haven't been around much on here but I was hoping some people would be interested in doing the Christmas Card Exchange again. I would be willing to organize it.

It's very simple. Send me a pm with your name, mailing address and e-mail. I will collect them and send them out to everyone. Then take some time this holiday season to send a card or christmas e-card to those on the list. I've loved getting cards in the mail the last three Christmas seasons we have done this and I know this year there are a lot of new faces.

So, if interested, send me a PM.

Question: About how many people usually participate? I did this on the Rascal Flatts board once and we had over 50 people sign up! I love yall, but I don't have that kinda money! :eek:

Kelly, if I remember right, I think on average around 15 girls, give or take.

I've organized it for the last two years (don't know who did it before me) and last year we had more participate. I had saved everyone's info but it was on my old computer that died in May but 15 or so sounds right.

The cost factor is also why we ask for e-mail addresses. That way even if someone can't afford cards and postage, they can send a free e-card or other greeting. I don't want that to be a barrier to anyone participating.

I have heard from six of you so far. Let's set Thanksgiving Day (November 25) as the deadline to send me your info. I'll send the list out right after that in your e-mail. Note a couple of you didn't give me your e-mails so check your PMs. :)

Just bought my cards today :) So weird. I was on vacation at the beach and we stopped at HEB to get bread...next thing I know, we're in the Christmas aisle, which I'm normally against before Thanksgiving :p but I saw the most beautiful cards so I had to get them :)

I got my first one (from here, and for the season!) yesterday, thanks Faith!! :) I just addressed my envelopes, but will have to get stamps so they should be in the mail in the next few days!

i really wanted to this year, but....our budget has been soooo tight. we're finally starting to see the light at the end of the (waaaaaaay distant! lol) tunnel, so.....hopefully by this time next year, i CAN do the exchange! :D

Hey everyone,

I read about a cool idea to save money for next year. Cut the fronts off of cards and make it into a post card. Use the right side for the address and stamp and the other side for a short note. Postage on postcards is about .25 cents or so.

We are hanging in, and just when things seem to be getting better, they don't!
(seriously, Job keeps popping in my head, and I'm thinking, God, there is ONE person who goes through all this in the bible, and if its all the same to you, I would prefer not to be the one this year!) Yeah right, I know! I half feel like 09 has to be better, just by default!
(oh well, enough of my wishful thinking...)
Crazy thing, just when we think it's starting to make sense, it doesn't!

HOWEVER, God has been faithful. Gotten us here to this point, and it can't be to let us fall on our rears. It hasn't been the way either of us would've picked and been a BIT hard on our pride and independent natures, but we're here!
Still, the things we needed answers to 6 months ago, we REALLY need answers to now!
We love you guys and promise to keep hanging in there...
