Hey guys,
The Lord has really been stirring in my heart. He's breaking me. He is so good. But, I wanted to share with you guys a little bit.

"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life wil lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's sake will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." Mark 8:34-38

We know the song. Give me Jesus, Give me Jesus, Give me Jesus, You can have this whole world, just give me Jesus.

But, I've been thinking. What does it mean? What does it mean for us to tell God, You can have this whole world, please Father, just give us Jesus? It means coming to a point of surrender. Losing your life for Him, maybe not literaly, but spiritually. The Lord is showing me that if you are hanging onto any thing in this world, if you are hanging onto any thing other than Him, your heart is not submitted. May our true desire be for Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, as J always says. =]

"But, I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light." Revelation 21:22-23

We need nothing else but Him, He is the Temple, He is the Light, He is everything. His glory is and will cover us in a way we cannot fathom. We serve the amazing God.

I love you guys, and I'm praying for you =]

In Him,
Miranda

Thanks for sharing :) There has actually been something that I've been holding on to, but I read my devotional tonight and it was as if that devotional was written just for me! It spoke of being careful not to hold onto things that don't bring Him glory. There may be something you're wanting, some different place you're wanting to be in life, and you have to realize that where you are right now....everything you have right now...you have because God is wanting to use you in that place...with what you have. We have to be faithful and learn how we are to be used every day!
