Hey Jeremy, and all you jeremy fans. This is Nathan Benjamin Roy (Facebook) here. First off, Jeremy camp, what can I say, i have been a fan of yours since 2002 when stay came out. Let me tell, I've gone through some crap in my life, and seriously, every time i break down in despair, and am weary from fighting to be a Christian, your music reminds me of how Great our God is, and how strong and faithul he is. I grew up in a christian home. My birthmom died of cancer when i was 5, my dad remarried a year later to a woman who i just don't seem tohave respect for. I try, but it is hard. I went to church, kids group, thenpreteens, then junior high, at around age 15, i started to change. I became less polite, i began swearign, hanging out with the wrong crowd, and u can guess what happened there. Then, at age 17, i became addicted to pornagraphy. a day before my 18 birthday, my parents found out, and so we talked. and as i layed in bed that night, i couldn't help but feel God telling me, I still love you, u have hurt me, but i still love you. I put on Jeremy's Restored cd, and when it came to the track 'letting go' i broke down, and God put the burden on my heart to go to Bible College. So here i am, age 19, at Summit Pacific Bible College in Abbotsford, BC, Canada, playing on the worship team, sometimes leading it (i sing, play guitar, act) and I have never felt so free. Jeremy, what i want to say is: thank you for your music. every time i am down, i pu one of your cd;s in, and it just makes me feel better. keep on rocking for Christ, and I'm looking forward to many more albums from you. By the way, your new album is AWESOME!!!!! God Bless, and, if you can, come to vancouver or abbotsford one time for a concert. Vancouver is a city that needs Christ, it is the most secular and non-christian city in Canada, and perhaps even North America. God Bless, and if u reply to this, than that is totally sweet.

An awesome testimony Nate. I'm sure your father and your step mom are proud of who you are. And your mother would be, too.

Jesus loves you!

Nate, that IS an awesome testimony. :D jeremy's music has really helped me overcome some pretty raunchy stuff, as well - i'll save that for another time.

i think it's amazing that you are now at Bible college & leading worship there. keep doing it & soon you may be opening for jeremy! :D

lol, lead for Jeremy Camp. That'd be the day. i'd much rather just play on Jeremy's band for a song, just one song. or meet and greet him, but he never comes to british columbia or even seattle for concerts. God is Good, thats for sure, he took up my broken life on himself. lol that reminds me of his new song called 'I know Who I Am'

hey, you never know what today's battles are preparing you for!!!

i believe that the deepest desires of OUR hearts are linked the God's will for our lives, and the connection grows stronger & stronger as we press in to surrender our will (to the point of being willing to relinquish our deepest desires) and embrace His. He gave you that passion & talent for playing - He WILL use it!!!! i promise you that! :D (in what kind of forum, i have NO clue, but...He WILL use the gifts that He has given you! and...better to dream BIG than to not dream at all, right?? :D go for it, man - we all believe in you!!!!!)

That's so true. Reminds me of this Scripture also: Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. He places this desire in our hearts for us to fulfill because it's His will; and then He brings our heart upon the altar; to place where we'd be willing to give it up because we want to do His will above ours. That way, when the desire is fulfilled we give Him ALL the glory-- stripping us from our pride so we remain humble. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility. Proverbs 15:33 It also reminds me of when God promised Abraham a son; and how His descendants would be more than he could number, as the sands of the sea and the stars of the sky. After Abraham received his son -- God told Him to offer him to Himself. That's kind of how it is with the desires and gifts God gives us. He promises them to us, we receive them, and then He tells us to give them back to Him. And we wonder why He asks God to do that for us..... To see how much we love HIM, not the things He promises us. He really wants us to learn not to depend on ourselves and the gifts He gives us, but on Him. To the point where we just close our eyes, and fall into His arms trusting Him through faith that He'll catch us firmly -- and lead us into what He has strategically planned for us before the universe was created. If He gives us a desire -- and it agrees with the Scripture and His will-- He'll bring it to pass in its time.

Nate, you have an awesome testimony -- God's going to use you in way's you've never expected. And, He's already using you. Be blessed!!

nate, soooo many people come from a situation like yours - one parent gone because of various circumstances, and trying to adjust to the whole step-family mess. (and i can identify with BOTH roles of the step-family - the stepchild AND the stepparent!) you already have such a powerful witness, but, the more you press into the Lord for breakthrough in that relationship with your stepmom - you'll be amazed at how many people will want to hear your story! rock on, man! God's got some powerful things planned for YOU!!! :D

Nate;

What an incredible witness you have!!! The fact that the Lord delivered you from the bondage of pornography.....that is quite a testimony. I actually minister to people who are addicted to pornography, as well as their wives (who feel so betrayed), so I know what a stronghold that can have on a person's life. It is definitely a tool that Satan uses to destroy families.

Praise God for your victory. Certainly, in Christ, we are more than conquerers.
Thank you so much for being so open and honest with your testimony. I know that God will use it to help other kids who are struggling.
