I am very bummed :( On Leif's thread it said they were coming to Iowa on 4/10 but now it says Kansas. Oh well, I have seen him three times since July of 07 so I can't complain too bad lol But still, was getting pumped for a M&G possibility. God has other plans I spose! So excited for you and your potential 2 tho! :D

Well it may just be 1 for me. The R&WRS date is in the middle of the week, so I'm having a hard time finding someone to go with me :(

I'm totally pumped for the Ontario show in March! And more-so now with all of the Camp Crew benifits :)
I'm so glad that the tickets are so inexpensive. I will be going for sure (and bringing a few buds who have never seen J live) :p

I feel your pain Amanda! Granted, it IS coming to Tx, but this is a BIG state and that's just a little too far. Especially since it's during the week! If it was the weekend, I'd have no problem getting there.
*sigh*

I know we checked on a few last year for you. I don't remember what I heard about this venue. I didn't go to ATF which was in Hoffman Estates last time he was down there. I think it was at a church, but this one appears to be at the Sears Centre (as far as I can tell.)
He'll also be in Moline and Springfield. A friend and I are considering getting a hotel, taking a couple vacation days and going to the 4/17 concert, too, which is another 2 hours south. Wonder what that venue is like. We'll know more soon, I'm sure.

That would be awesome if you could make it to the 4/17 show in Moline, Laura!!
My hubby and I just had a discussion about our vacation plans for next year. We were planning on going to Disneyland with the couple that we homeschool with in April -- but our finances are just TOO tight for that trip, so after a lot of number crunching and prayer, we decided that we would do a road trip and go see the Road Show and head to the Creation Museum after that.. I"M SO EXCITED!!!!! :p;):D:)
And being the social-phobe that I am, it would be awesome to go to the meet & greet with someone i "know" and meet a fellow boardie!!!!!

Really?! That is so cool. And you know what? Dan and I just talked about taking Ben to the Creation Museum. Now this really gives me food for thought.....! Hmmmm...
I'm thinkin' Dan wouldn't be up for two shows. He really likes Jeremy, but isn't into concerts much. (Although he LOVED Unplugged and Boomin')
This could be exciting!!! I'm going to go sign up for Moline...just in case this works out. Yahoooo

Hey Heidi, I couldn't find a meet and greet scheduled for the Moline date. I did sign up for the Springfield, just in case we're on our way back from the Creation Museum, if we go. Dan's going to faint. All of a sudden we/I have plans for concerts on the 16th, and 17th, then the museum, then another concert on the 19th concert. LOL. Um. Not sure if this will all happen or not. The 16th is a plan. The rest is pending. But I'm praying. :D

It's listed under Quad Cities, Iowa .. It baffled me at first too when one tour list showed moline, il and the same date had the quad cities. So i just googled the iwireless center and bingo, there it was! :)
Now i'm not sure if we're going to go to the museum or not.. Hubby is thinking about going to visit his dad up in Mt. Hope, WI for a few days since we haven't been there in awhile.

I mentioned it to Dan and he said the Creation Museum sounded good, but not surrounded by all the concerts. (He was teasing me.) So we'll see. But I'll go sign up for the IA concert because I'm going...by faith.

Mount Hope, WI? If so, I put it through Google maps, and it looks like it would be 2 hours for you. And you go through my town. (hint, hint lol) j/k But it is about 45 minutes from me. Is J going to be there sometime? Ifso, I would so go! :p

It's more like Mt. Nowhere!! It's an itty bitty town about 20ish minutes outside Prairie DuChien. Being a city girl, that lives about 2 miles from an airport, it's waaaaaaaaaaay too quiet for me lol!

My ideal road trip would be this:
Jeremy Concert 4/17, drive to Indianapolis to spend a day there and go to the zoo (they have dolphins!!!! I love ocean life, and i'd love to see them.. and since Sea World is so far, this would be the next closest thing!), then hit the creation museum for a couple days, find something to do in cincinnati &/or columbus and go to the Jeremy show 4/25. But my Hubby laughed at me! Do you believe that? :p

We'll have to set up the details as the date gets closer for a meet-up...but it's going to be awesome! :)
As far as good seats, i've seen Jeremy three times already. The first time my parents paid for a 6th row seat because it was a Christmas gift, so spending the extra money was a given...but the last two shows have been 'first come, first serve'. So time-wise, we waited to get in all day and got front seats.
But with the R&WTS Tour, since each ticket is $10, I have a feeling that it's going to run a lot like the Winter Jam tour (pay $10 for each ticket and then RUN for good seats...lol!) :p

Amy, no J in Mt Hope. Heidi's husband has family there.
Heidi, that sounds like an awesome vacation. Dan gives me "the look" when I start trying to plan vacations around Jeremy's concerts. It's so funny. But he's an awesome sport and will do it if I really ask him to. (and I will. :))
This tour is going to be a blessing, I can really feel it. It's like the passion for Jesus has been turned up a notch and the Spirit is moving on a whole new level. Feelin' the happy dance urge!

Let's do it. Sign up for the meet and greets in IL if you really think you could make it. April 16 and/or 17th. I'm really going to try to be at both, and possibly the 19th. (I think that's the date).
Josh, I'm not real fond of flying either, but maybe you could close your eyes tight, pray hard, and go for it!
Last night Jeremy twittered that they were heading out to FL but were stuck on the runway due to snow. He asked for prayer. Since I'm not much of a flier, I REALLY PRAYED HARD for them. And I know they made it safely because he just twittered that he's having lunch at Big Louis' Italian. LOL. Thank you, Jesus.

I talked to Dan tonight about going to all three shows down in IL, and staying in a hotel for 3 nights. I think he's totally fine with it. (Of course, it helped that I gently mentioned to him that he goes deer hunting for 4 days every fall. :)) Actually, we are rarely ever apart, and I don't like being away from him or Ben for very long. Therefore, maybe we can still do the Creation Museum and we can all go. Anyway, it's lookin' good! Praise God!

lol the power of gentle persuasion! :) After heeing and hawing this whole road trip thing over the past few days, it looks like the creation museum is on! I'm so excited already and it's 4 months away!! I wonder if I could talk Shane into going to the one in springfield also?? Is that around Chicago? What is there to do around the area since it's a day and a half after the Moline show?? It would be nice if we could get tickets by each other!
LauraA
12-14-2008, 08:27 PM
I'm not a big fan of big cities, but I know there are a lot of things to do in Chicago. The Aquarium, Museums, stuff like that.
I'm thinking that my friend and I will go to the concerts, and that Dan and Ben will stay home.
The concerts:
April 16 Hoffman Estates which is by Chicago
April 17 Moline, which is 2 hours south of Hoffman Estates
April 19 Springfield, which is another 2 hours south. We'll end up 6 hours away from home for the concert on the 19th, which means we'd have to drive home 6hours after the concert. Ouch. But I've done that before and will do it again.
I'd like to go to the Creation Museum in-between Moline and Springfield, but it's 6 hours from Moline, and half the day would be over by the time we got there. It would be too much for Dan and Ben to really enjoy. I think if we go, we'll have to just head down there right from WI and make it a trip in itself, another time. But like I said, the concerts are looking like it will be a "go"! YES!
It would be so cool if we could sit together. I wonder if these will be assigned seating or not. A thought just came to me...since there are so many artists, will it be a full session for each one? It would be kind of disappointing to put all this into it if Jeremy only played for 30 minutes.... Hmmm. We'll have to see what the others report once they start happening. If the concerts are the short versions, we'll probably just go to Hoffman Estates.
So much up in the air! Oh well, it is 4 months away. LOL.

There are conflicts between the itickets dates and the Camp Crew dates. Like 4/16 is in IL according to CC, but not on itickets. I think it said OH for that date. Confusing.
Wonder how long before we can purchase tix (early) through CC.

I don't know that you will. I think that's only offered for shows that J is headlining. Don't quote me on that...just remember reading something to that effect somewhere but I could very well be wrong. And there aren't even tickets for this tour to begin with...just a pay-at-the-door special thing that MercyMe is doing...very cool!

You might be able to tell MM guys about your mom's funeral (if they do a m&g or a signing line), and how you were able to honor her memory with those two songs of theirs. I'm sure that would mean a lot to them.
I hope you go to the IL concert, Rhonda. If you do, I'll see you there!
It's because of Mercy Me's song, "I Can Only Imagine" that I became a Jeremy Camp fan. LOL. Doesn't make sense, does it?!
I went to see MM because I LOVED (and still do) the song "I Can Only Imagine." (March '05 Undone Tour) I'd heard Jeremy's songs on the radio, and liked them, too, so I thought it would be "nice" seeing him, as well. So...Jeremy came out and after a few songs he gave his testimony concerning Melissa, and then told us about being blessed with his Adie and Bella (Ari hadn't come along yet).... and as they say, the rest is history! I was blown away by everything he said and sang.
This will be the first time I've seen MM since that night.

I'm looking forward to seeing Addison Road as well. I've been in love with thier music ever since I heard 'All That Matters'. I know Jenny (the band leader) is pregnant and due anytime now...so hopefuly this tour will be an easy one for the band! :)

Wow Laura, that's exactly how I became a fan of Jeremy's. It was at the Undone tour in San Antonio, TX. I went because of MM, but was blown away by Jeremy's testimony. The next day, I went and bought all 3 of his cd's and the "In 24 DVD." Since then, I've shared his music and testimony with just about everyone and anyone who would listen. They have all been touched and are now fans!

Oh, man; someone does NOT know how to schedule dates in the Northwest...
From Montana to Seattle (a few hundred miles), backtrack to Boise (a few hundred miles), backtrack to Pullman (another few hours), and then down to Portland (a few hundred more miles).

My guess is that the venues may not of been available along the easiest routes on the specific dates they could of been there. Something like that. Maybe Paul loves driving.;)

I'll either be at the cedar rapids show or the springfield one. Not sure which one yet. If it were just me and Shane going, i would definately do both of them, but with the kids going along, one i think is all i'm going to get to see :)
I signed up for the M&G's for both (altho the IA one is still listed on the CampCrew site as the quad cities and still for the 17th and not the 18th..? I'm not to impressed with all the discrepency of the dates..) Just in case the fam decides they want to go to both.

The official word on the tour date discrepancies is to trust Jeremy's Sites (http://www.jeremycamp.com/touring.htm), and specific tour site, depending on which tour. For the SLTB Tour Site(http://www.speakinglouderthanbefore.com/interface.html).
Please do not go by what is posted on itickets.

Yeah iTickets is GREAT for posting dates early and they have cheaper tickets 99% of the time, BUT since they post most dates before they're even confirmed, there's a good chance things can change, so you should definitely use Jeremy's official tour page as the official dates. If you do see a date on iTickets that isn't on J's site, you can always call the venue to confirm. That's what happened with me on this San Antonio date coming up. It's STILL not listed on his tour page!
i'll have to call the venue

Sadly it's looking like this one might be a no-go. My parents just informed me that we're celebrating my grandma's birthday on a Saturday in a couple weeks, so I'd have to ask off work. Then the Third Day concert is a month after that and the next week is the R&WRS so that would be 3 days off in just over a month and considering that I only work 4 days a month, it doesn't look so good. And since it's between a local show and an out of town show, I'm thinking my friend will go for the local show because of his car situation. But I did talk to another friend of mine who said she may be up for it, depending on her schoolwork. So there's still a chance that I could just do this show instead of the Third Day show. In fact, I may look into just booking the hotel in case, then we can always cancel the week of the show :)
And there's always summer festivals!!! We're hoping to get out to Rock the Desert so I hope he's there this year! Hasn't been since 2005! I think it's time we have him back! :p

A tip from someone who works in the Hospitality industry:
Call the motel direct. You can compare what they tell you with what you see through the official website, but still call directly.
Avoid Travelocity/Expedia etc. like the plague. We (in the industry) hate them with a passion. I've seen many a photoshopped image of the Gnome dying a gruesome death.

Oh believe me, I learned that lesson on our Creation Tour trip! There were going to be 5 of us going so we booked the wheelchair accessible SUITE. According to the website it was an ocean view room with separate living room area & private balcony. Complete with 2 HUGE flat screen tvs and roll-in shower.
In the end, it was just 2 of us who went. We got there and the two of us could barely get in the room. If the other 3 had come they'd have been sleeping in the bathroom! There was no separate living area, no balcony, no huge flatscreen tvs, no roll-in shower, and our view definitely left something to be desired! We went to the front desk thinking we'd simply been given the wrong room, but they said they have no rooms like what we described. We showed them pics and printouts from the hotel website and they were shocked! They immediately got on the phone with their supervisor and told them that needed to be changed. Unfortunately, but I suppose understandably, they weren't willing to offer a reduced price, so we ended up going to a different hotel. But I will never again trust websites fully for information!

I always call hotels direct, because with AAA discount, it's usually cheaper than the advertised prices (even on the travel websites). Plus, I like the assurances of knowing that I'm actually reserving a room, not waiting for the travel sites to fax the info to the hotel.
I confess I use the travel sites for reviews. They're usually spot on.
Just out of curiosity, why do you hotellers hate travelosity?

Read Kelly's story for one example. You have no idea how many times that's happened: the website promises something we don't have/can't deliver. In addition to that, you have no idea how many times a third-party site has overbooked my property, causing me lots of headaches as I try to explain to people that we haven't had rooms for three days, even though they booked one through the Gnome this morning.
Then there's the fact that they're a major rip off -- what you pay them and what they pay us are NOT the same amounts. You often pay more than going straight thru us, and we get paid less (they take comission, ya know).
I'll admit to having used Expedia once, when getting plane tickets and dealing with three different airlines. But for motels, I'll ALWAYS call direct.

What KILLED me is that they had a complete photo gallery and NONE of the room pics were from that hotel!

In addition to that, you have no idea how many times a third-party site has overbooked my property, causing me lots of headaches as I try to explain to people that we haven't had rooms for three days, even though they booked one through the Gnome this morning.
Ah yes, I believe that for sure.
And I've paid less calling direct. I wonder why hotels put up with that!? I guess it's like the airlines -- overbooked flights are better than underbooked, purely financially speaking!
In all honesty, even the main hotel websites have deceiving pictures!

I just bought tix for the spring feild OH gig!

The concert that was posted closest to us...which was 3 hours away, isn't happening now as far as I can tell. So I'm not sure what that does to the rest of the plans. Might have to wait until Jeremy can crew find themselves closer to WI.... :(
Cara, that will be awesome. And Josh, your family will have a marvelous time!!!

Trying to plan a vacation around dates that keep changing is nearly impossible, so we made an executive decision to nix the Road Show concert altogether :o So instead we're flying to orlando, going to sea world and kennedy space center and then driving home via Kentucky & the creation museum. We've dubbed it God's Creation Vacation :) I'm thinking about adopting Kelly's idea about leaving a Speaking Louder Than Before CD in the hotel rooms with a note & bible verses. :)
that's an awesome idea, heidie! i'm trying to think of somewhere creative that i can leave a cd.....brain's kinda fried right now, though. must recover, resettle, and THEN i'll be able to think! :)
i'm sorry it was such an ordeal about the rwrst shows not lining up with vacation plans - i'm sure the dates for the sltb concert (whenever that one starts!) will be a little more....stable, for lack of a better word! (for what it's worth, though, your vacation sounds like GOOD FUN!!! .....can i come?? lol)

Oh, I'm no stranger to travelling for concerts. I just don't know what time I'll be getting up that Sunday morning (or maybe even Saturday night). That's the fun of being the night auditor.
I'll probably drive home, as I really don't want to spend money on a motel room.

^^^Good memories! Hope we can all do that again. :)
I'm pretty sure we have to cancel our plans for the April 16, 18 and 19th IL shows. The 16th isn't even in IL anymore (moved to OH), the 18th has conflicting info and it's not worth going 7 hours for just one concert when we'd get home Monday morning just in time to start work for the 19th gig. Sadness. :( If we knew what was up for sure with the 18th, there would be a possibility, but just can't seem to find out what's up. Pout.
Oh a happier note, I'll be at Lifest in July.

So sorry Laura! I know how much you were looking forward to it! Hopefully they've picked up on our "subtle" hints about getting a show in WI for you! :) Keeping my fingers crossed for you for the SLTB tour! Glad you get to see him this summer though! I can't wait! I know it's gonna be a short gig cause there are 40 bands over only 2 days, but it's still gonna rock! :)

This is fun...
I was browsing the website for Spirit West Coast this year when I found out that they are auctioning off VIP Meet n' Greet's with artists at West Coast Concerts throught the summer...And I found this page:
http://www.spiritwestcoast.org/auction/QAViewAuctions.asp?catID=12
The starting bids are $350.00...do we have any hardcore takers? :p
lol, at $350, i can't say i'm all that hard core! (i had a hard time getting hubby to ok the $35 m&g!!! if only he knew!!! lol)
and...speaking of m&g....
A WEEK FROM THURSDAY!!!!!!! yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! :) any takers for one of THE most bizarre random questions EVER regarding an upcoming show??? lol
Kelly
03-15-2009, 09:58 PM
ME ME ME!!! I'm ALL about bizarre, random questions! :) Ask away!
lol kelly....alrighty then! here it is...
for EXTREEEEEEMELY personal reasons, i tend to wear dresses or skirts when i will be traveling (ie - sitting for a long period of time), so...next thursday would be no exception. except..would that be TOTALLY lame?? i mean.....i realize this isn't a dressy occasion, so it would just be a comfy summer dress type thing, but....am i gonna be the ONLY one dressed that way (in which case, it WOULD look ridiculous! and i would try to suck it up & wear jeans....)?
(and....after i read your answer about your m&g, i remembered that i had asked you about that a gazillion times already - and you patiently ANSWERED it a gazillion times, too! lol duhhhh.....can i blame it on the trying few weeks i've just had??? lol)
Kelly
03-15-2009, 11:48 PM
Hehe no worries girl! I forget who I ask what questions all the time! I either ask someone the same question 5 times, or I don't ask someone a question I needed to ask them cause I thought I already had :p
And to answer you, I don't think that's crazy at all! :) Now if you went in a prom or wedding dress, THAT might be a little extreme hehe :p
hahahahahahahahahahaah, could you just imagine the look i'd get at the m&g if i DID show up like that?!?!?!?!? i think that one might actually top the pink t-shirt! (ok, i am soooo NOT doing it! i'm all for trying to get a good laugh, but....that one's borderline CREEPY, i think! lol)
oh man, that WOULD be funny!!! still...not doing it! i've never been to a CONCERT concert (hahaha, reminds me of a comedian my husband was watching the other day - talking about how women say a word once & it means one thing, but then they say the same word TWICE & it means something ENTIRELY different! "i like him, but i don't LIKE him like him" - "yeah, we're going shopping..don't worry, not SHOPPING shopping..." HAHAHA we SOOO do! anyway.... that was WAAAAAY off topic!). now WHAT was i saying??? (give ya 3 guesses as to who's finally crawled out of the dung heap this week! lol) oh yeah - i've never been to a CONCERT concert :P, so....i have NO idea what the dress code is, but...i'm wagering that there won't be too many skirts/dresses, so...i'll already feel totally out of place. i don't need to go as prom (*cough*DRAMA) queen or anything to add to it! lol
thanks kell! :)

Ha-ha! I'm sure anything you wear will be fine...aside from a wedding dress, although i'm sure people have worn stranger things to concerts, lol! :p Your going to have such a BLAST, Cori! The first concert is always the most special...but especially when it's an artists you like so much :)
BTW- Here is another pretty cool meet n' greet oportunity, this time the 'Rock and Worship Roadshow' is sposoring it and it's available at every show for an AWESOME cause :)
Donor Pass Special (http://www.therockandworshiproadshow.com/donor/index.php)
Mom said we would have done it if the $150 would have allowed in 2 people instead of one...
lol campergirl, we could bring each other corsages & really play up the prom thing! HA!!! (fear not - i won't make you embarassed to be seen with me! lol)
LauraA

You would be totally fine wearing a skirt to the concert. I see it all the time. I always wear a blue jean skirt or a khaki.
lol, such a relief! i don't wanna be the ONLY skirt, for sure, but....i just don't think i could manage a pair of jeans for that long. i made myself endure for The Call in San Diego (nov), and boy did i regret it for quite some time afterwards, so....viva la skirt! (haha, can you tell i never took....whatever language that is?? lol)

Hey guys, I have a bit of news.....now, I'm still not 100% on this, so please, oh please, do not quote me on this, or hunt me down if I'm wrong hehe...but....
Brody Harper (MercyMe's web guy) has been dropping major hints leading us all to believe that the entire tour (or at least as many shows as possible) will be streamed live on the internet!!!! :D
As I said, I don't have confirmation, and for all I know, he could just be talking about MercyMe's part of the show, but a LOT of what he's said the past few days has alluded to us believing that!
He did it for MercyMe's last tour and it was AWESOME! I got to watch 11 shows online, all from the comfort of my bedroom in my PJs and without paying a dime! :)
So if I do get confirmation, I will certainly let you know, but for now, I'm 95% sure that's the plan :)

WOW! Jeremy was amazing last night in Boise!!!!
Now I'm not just saying this because he's my favorite artist, but I really truly think his performance was the best out of all 5! It seemed liked he put a lot of work into it, with the big posters and props on the stage saying things like: Love, Truth, Speak Up, Speak Loud, and there was a big background poster of "The SLTB Wall," you know, the one in his music video. I loved how he sang a bunch of older songs as well, such as Lay Down My Pride and Give You Glory! But I was disappointed when he wasn't doing the signing line after the concert!:(:( I wanted him to sign my 3 foot tall poster!:D:D But I really wanted to meet him......

I had the Portland gig last night. My advice:
GET THERE EARLY!
If you're thinking about getting there two hours before the concert, think again. Try three or four at the LATEST. When I got there last night (4:00), there were already a few thousand people standing in line. They even sold out, and a lot of people were turned away (Memorial Coliseum holds 11,000). Actually, everyone I know in town who planned on going left for the concert at 4:00. It's a two-hour drive; they all got turned away.
For those of you with a M&G: Get there early. If you haven't gotten an e-mail about what to do, head directly for the merch table. Make sure you have your lanyard, and ask if the merch guy/a runner will be around shortly. The runners have radios, and can find out what you need to do/where you need to go.
I ended up having my M&G before the concert. I talked to people at the merch table; while they didn't know what was up, they DID know that J's guy was on his way for merch-related stuff. When he got there, he told me to head to the secondary table. When I got THERE, they told me that Walt was on his way; he was eating when they called.
It was a good gig, and J signed my guitar (long story). And Matt took a pic:

Good. We actually talked about you: I pulled out my iPod and showed J the Foostool album. He asked if you'd be at the Michigan gig. I told him the truth -- I didn't know if you were still in Michigan due to law school. He asked how that was going. Again, I don't know, and told him so.

you can take him, todd. :)
Let's see.... headlock for the pink shirt... punch in the arm for making fun of his hair... being pushed to the wall for teasing him about burning a CD.
I believe the score is J 3, Todd Zip. I'm too much of a pacifist! ;)
lol.....if it wouldn't cause such a panic for my husband, i'd almost give ANYTHING to have that pink shirt to wear on thursday!!!! i think THAT would be HILARIOUS!!

awww, laura, that's AWESOME!!!!! :D SOOOOO happy for you!!!
and...i'm sooo sorry i had to end our conversation soooo abruptly this afternoon! i was so enjoying it, i completely lost track of time - we were 10 minutes late to the ortho. appt! thankfully it was just a retainer adjustment & nothing major, so they didn't seem to mind, but...i still feel bad for being so "GOTTA GO!!" - especially since i DO believe you were actually mid-sentence.... *blush*

Tomorrow is the day for you Cali people! Well, at least the Ontario, Calies. :)
It will be interesting...here is what will take place for us to get to the concert:
I have a stamping day at a friends all day Saturday 8a.m to 5p.m.
Home to get Ben bathed for Sunday church
Iron clothes for Sunday for Ben and Dan, and also for our trip
Naptime
Leave WI at 1:30a.m. Saturday
Arrive in Springfield 6 a.m.
Sit at front doors for 11 hours lol (2 grandmas sitting at the doors! Funny.)
Attend Meet and Greet and concert
Signing line?
Leave IL around 11:30 or midnight
Arrive home around 4:30 a.m.
Dan leaves for work at 6 a.m.
Dentist appointment at 9:30 a.m.
Daycare arrives at 12:45 and I work until 4p.m.
Do you think it's worth it? I won't get to bed until 6p.m. Monday night which means more than 2 full days and nights without sleep except for an hour or two to nap Saturday night before we leave. Kind of nervous about it, but it's the only way I can go. Dan's worried. His comment was, "You are older than you used to be, you know." LOL. Yikes.
Edited to tell you that it's a 4 1/2 hour drive, not 6. YaY!!!
you can do it laura!!! i have faith in you!!!! :D
you can always load up on caffeine...coffee, sodas...those wretched energy drinks that kinda suck your face in when you take a sip...lol....TOTALLY worth it!
and...i'm pretty sure that after TOMORROW!!!!!! (not excited at ALL...nuh uh..not me! :P lol) i'll still be saying it's worth it. :D

Unfortunately, i'll only be able to do all the live webcasts. No live shows/M&G's for me this time around. :(
We fly out monday the 20th for Florida. (going to sea world, kennedy space center, and then DRIVING home, via Ohio/Kentucky to go to the Creation Museum).
But it's all good, getting to see the looks on my kids' faces as they see dolphins and whales up close, and experience the awesomeness of the ocean (that they'll remember! they've both seen the pacific, but Kaylie was 5 months old and Zack was 3 so technically, it doesn't count lol). I'm really looking forward to our Creation Vacation, as it has been dubbed by Kaylie :)

Hahaha! I'll have to tell Dan about all this encouragement. ;) But really, he knows I can do it if I set my mind to it. LOL. Oh yeah. HE KNOWS! lol
Justin, we might all end up together in line if there aren't too many others with the same idea we have. (shhhh) ;) We'll have to bring snacks and something to do without loading ourselves down with 20 pounds of additional stuff to haul around all night. Oh, and Dan isn't coming with. :( this time, but my friend Connie will be there. :)
I took Monday off work, so it will be a little easier. I'm also changing my dentist appointment. This is looking better every minute! YaY!

Aww... no Dan:(
I'm hoping I don't have any projects for school to do that weekend... because Sunday is going to be a very long, but well worth it day. I'm hoping the convention center is located close to some food...I agree we can't really weigh ourselves down with snacks and such.
I still have to talk to Erin about joining the CampCrew... I'm not sure she even knows about it... but I would feel bad seeing Jeremy and having her just hang around.
LauraA

I know what you mean. Connie isn't able to join right now either, and she will be waiting. But she will be able to save our seats, since after we make our "mad granny dash" to the front (picture that!), I'll be throwing my stuff down and running back to the meet and greet. Won't that be a purty sight!? hahaha. ;)
But yeah. No Dan. He'll be staying back with Ben and plus he has to take care of the Coffee Cabin at church. But he'll see J at Lifest in July. I'm hoping you and Erin can come up. It's going to be great, especially with Jeremy leading worship in the morning service!
Heidi, "Creation Vacation" sounds like a wonderful time! I think I mentioned to you before that we want to go there, too. I've heard that it's a really, really great place. You aren't that far away and I'm confident that we'll meet another time for a concert. :)

Does anyone know if the M&G's are usually before or after the show? I'm going to Ontario tomorrow night (Thurs) but I have no idea what to do. I didn't want to bug Dan with an email again because I already did that once per the Camp Crew instructions and I know LA area shows are super busy... Does anyone have any idea how the CC M&G's are working?
Thanks in advance for any info!!!
Saundra :-)

If you don't hear before you leave, Saundra, find the merch table and ask Adam what to do. You can also go to John. He's Jeremy's sound guy and tour manager, (last I knew).
I have had to ask security on occasion where to find one of them, and they are usually really helpful as well.
Have a GREAT time. Let us know how it goes, k? Are you taking pictures?

Also, from everything I've gathered so far, the M&Gs have been before the concert.
saundra, we'll have to find you! campergirl & i are going today, too!!! :D :D :D
aaaand.....we're OFF!!!! :) in a mere 3 hrs, i'll be meeting campergirl, and in a mere (!!) 13 hrs, we'll be rocking our socks off!

SQUEAL!!! I feel like I'm going with you gals. It's going to be awesomeness multiplied by millions. Ok, maybe that is a slight exaggeration, but this is the only time I feel like a :eek:teenager again.;)
Can't wait to hear all about it, ladies!

Amy, that show was cancelled. It was north of Chicago...I forgot the name of the town. Either Hoffman Estates or something that started with an S. Now we're going further south to Springfield on the 19th. It's going to be a long trip and no sleep for over 48 hours, but you know what crazy CAMPers will do to get to a concert! lol

Thanks soooo much for the info!!! Yaaaay, I'm so excited, first time hearing all the new songs live!!! I don't normally take photos, but I usually do video or just record the audio... (must remember to get black electrical tape to put over the "red light" on my camera, that's what usually gets me in trouble, lol) With all this GA craziness though, I hope I get a close enough spot, I haven't done a GA concert since I was in my 20's, and that was aaages ago :D

Good prompt, Kelly! LOL!!! Love it. :)
Saundra, have you heard from Dan with the instructions yet?
VegasBaby33
03-27-2009, 02:33 AM
I never heard from Dan about the instructions but it took me 4 hours to get from Malibu to Ontario (uugghhh, shoulda been able to do it in 1.5 at the most) and it was 7pm by the time I arrived so I missed the m&g. A nice lady at the merch table arranged for me to do it after with one other girl after MM, but I was soooo tired & sweaty from the drive (tmi, sorry), I just decided to leave right after J played to hit the road for Vegas.... where I just got home, (sigh) but the show was amazing and as always I'll post my 1002 cents once I recover. Reeaallly wish I coulda met up with you other Campers.... Anyone coming to Vegas on Saturday???

One word to describe last nights show? FAVOR! :D
Cori and I had favor ALL day! When we said we were gonna stick it it out for 10 hours, we wern't kidding! :p
We ended up getting 6th row seats (whoo-hoo!) The M&G was AMAZING! (I'll let Cori give you all the details...her story is awesome!) ;)
I guess the arena sold out, yay! I took a ton of pictures, I'm putting them on a photobucket for you all to see. Cori and her husband got some great pics too! I could go on for hours and hours gushing about how blessed last night was... but i'm still working on 6 hours sleep. More details to come... :p
Pics coming soon!

Saundra, I'm so sorry....I'm sure you must be disappointed. (((HUGS))) I think we need to give some feedback concerning lack of communication. We paid for the Camp Crew and we should be given the info we need to get what we paid for...
Campergirl, I'm looking forward to hearing about your night. 6th row is awesome and CAN'T WAIT to see the pictures and hear the stories. YaY!

Mom and I got there at 7:30 in the morning and we were third in line...there was actually a youth group that camped out in a gas station parking lot to be first in line. Crazy!
I agree with you Laura, while a few of us that night figured out what to do, I too am really bothed by the fact that no e-mail was sent out. I'm sorry Saundra :(
