Thursday, December 04, 2008
Source: CMSpin

Last week the nation celebrated Thanksgiving as Jeremy Camp released his fifth studio album with much to be thankful for as fans rushed to the stores and online outlets purchasing more than 32,700 copies of "Speaking Louder Than Before." This street week is Camp's personal best outselling "Beyond Measure" in a music buying market that has trended downward as the year nears an end.

The album debuted on Billboard 200 at No. 38 in addition to the No. 1 new release on the Billboard Christian chart. Digital purchases shot "Speaking Louder Than Before" to No. 11 on the overall iTunes chart and No. 1 on the Christian albums chart.

The debut radio single "There Will Be A Day" hit No. 1 last week and remains there this week at CHR marking Camp's career 17th No. 1 single. The single also holds strong at No.1 at AC Indicator for the fourth week.

Media and bloggers alike have praised the album from the Billboard review stating it was "exemplifying Camp's multiple talents" to the blogger(s) who have recommended it to their readers saying "incredible" and the "whole package - music, lyrics & message."

Fans can also join the upcoming new fan club "Camp Crew" on Jeremy's site starting this Friday, December 5th. This is in addition to the new speakinglouderthanbefore.com site with new resources and tools as well as the YouTube contest

That's a lot of copies sold! I wonder how much he actually makes off of those, or if he gets the WHOLE sum!

Wow, so if each CD sold at $10, he still made about $7,440, right? Now I'm no mathemetician...

Right. There are tons of costs. Brown Banister would get a portion, advertising, management, BEC, etc.
