Smile loss of a child...

Dear Jeremy (and family) ,
I was at your show last night in Grand Rapids Michigan. We drove 3.5 hours to go to our very first Jeremy Camp concert and you just blew us away! We will be coming to any other shows that you have close to us! I am praying you will come to Fremont Ohio at one of the churches here! I already contacted them to see if they would try to set something up. We need you!

Anyway, the reason I am writing is because I had also learned last night that you and your wife had lost a baby this past summer. I was also told you did a radio interview and talked about it. I wish with all my heart I would have been able to hear that. My husband and I have lost 7 babies. We don't have any children so far, but we know all to well about how hard loosing a baby is. But we continue to have hope and faith and we stay strong and we try to take our experience with our losses and turn it into something positive by volunteering at a local center called "Heartbeat of Fremont". It is an amazing place. They are very spiritual and they try to help guide the girls who come in there to make the right choice when they get pregnant and they also go out and try to teach the girls about waiting till you get married. They are having their big fundraiser even on October 15th at 7pm at a place called "Old Zim's" I know you are on tour and the chances are slim to none that you can make it, but if you happen to be near the Fremont Ohio area please stop by and share some of your gift with everyone there. The words you spoke last night at the show were just breath taking. The music was incredible, but the words you spoke, it was as if God was telling you to tell me things that i needed to hear. and things that my husband needed to hear. it was just amazing! It would be wonderful if you could come and speak at the banquet and help raise money for the ministry that Heartbeat does. The lady who is the head of it in our area has had cancer for about 14 years and she has been doing treatments and going to doctors and she continues to work, she continues to stay strong with her faith and I am telling you.. this women is an inspiration! I am amazed at the things she does and how strong her faith is. No matter what the doctors tell her, she just keeps pushing forward and she is just one of the strongest women I know and aside from fighting her battle with cancer, she works every day at fighting the battle of keeping these girls and women from aborting a baby that someone else so desperately wants but can't seem to have.

Anyway, I wanted to offer my heart felt prayers to you and your wife and family on the loss of your baby. I would love to hear more about how you and your wife view things and what you know about God and how to understand why this happens. I trust God and I know it isn't him that takes our babies away, i know it has to be something else. Because i know God would not keep giving us something we want so badly and then suddenly take it away from us. So I know there is a reason, I know that God's heart breaks right along with ours. and it is like what was said last night God is saying "I know... i see this... and I am here, my heartbreaks too". You touched my heart with your words and I really think you touched my husbands heart as well. Thank you for what you do! and I will pray for you and your wife.

And if by some TINY little chance you are near our area and can make it to the banquet we would be so blessed to have you there! and you would make a HUGE difference to the center!

God bless!
sincerely,
Julie Horn

Hi Julie,

Heartbeat of Freemont sounds like it would be such a blessing to so many hurting people! Did you see the thread down in the ladies section dealing with the trauma of losing a baby? Feel free to join us as we help others or work through our own heartbreaking experiences in this area. It sounds like you have a lot to offer.

So happy you enjoyed the concert!

Laura

Hi Laura,
No, i haven't seen that thread. How do I find it. I would love to be involved there. I am doing pretty well with all of our looses but you can't help but ask "why" and wonder. i try not to question, but i guess I wouldn't be humam if I didn't.

The banquet went REALLY well! Heartbeat of Fremont was GIVEN an ultrasound machine! Free! we are SO excited! It has been reported that over 90% of women said they would not abort a baby if they had seen the ultra sound. It has made them change their mind. that is a HUGE number of people. So we are SO excited to be getting this! it is going to make a world of difference in helping to stop people from aborting babies that could go to good homes and would be such a huge gift to people like me who have not been able to have children. I am not giving up yet, but we do still want to adopt a child even WHEN we do have our own little one.

Thank you for posting... and Let me know how to find the other post and I would love to join in the conversations.

Hey Julie, what a blessing!! 90%! To save even one life is huge, and then to multiply that by 90% of the women who see their ultra sound...praise God!! Thank you for letting us know about that.

Here is the thread I was refering to. Join us when you can. We'd love to get to know you better. (Don't feel pressured to share anything you aren't comfortable sharing.) http://www.jeremycamp.com/boards/showthread.php?t=1445

God Bless You.

Thank you for the link... and don't wory.. i am an open book. The way i look at it is that the things you go though in life you can learn from them and help others, so if you don't open up and talk about it, then you can't help people and talking also helps to heal your pain. so i am an open book.

thank you!

and i just found out yesterday that abortions in the country are down by 20something % or more since the law was first past no thanks to the Row vs wade case!

how anyone could think it is ok to kill a baby is beyond me! i just pray about it all the time.

I will go over to the other link now.
Thankyou!

If anyone has lost a child, I would totally recommend you listening to Steven Curtis Chapman's Beauty Will Rise CD.
